Disneyland Haunted Mansion

My favorite attraction available from late September through early January is Haunted Mansion Holiday, which incorporates the story from Tim Burton’s “A Nightmare Before Christmas.” The colors are brighter, the songs are punchier, and there’s something special about an attraction that I can only see during a certain time of year.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out “Haunted Mansion Holiday” for yourself, the end of the video below will give you a sense of just how cool the experience is.   • I love Halloween at Walt Disney World. Are there any plans in the future to add to it for MNSSHP? Also, can we see Ghost Galaxy next year at Space Mountain?

  • The Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite attractions at DL, but I don’t like that they do the Tim Burton thing to it.!! My birthday is in the middle of OCtober and they usually have it up by then so I can’t see the regular HM until after the holidays, I would like them to just make a separate attraction dedicated to that???? So now I visit after the holidays for my birthday…seems kinda weird.

  • I really wish they would bring the Haunted Mansion Holiday to Magic Kingdom. The Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride and I would love to see holiday outfit added to it.

  • Seems like my daughter has asked to watch this video a million times on the iPod. Yet, I know she would be scared out of her 3 year old wits to actually go on the ride. Too fun. Love the archival footage. Hey Disney release that Disneyland Showtime episode with Kurt Russell and the Osmonds opening the ride! Please.

  • Anyone know the name of the Cast Member at the beginning? I’ve seen him on the ride a couple times.

    • I believe the cast member’s name is Eric. If you see him the next time you’re at the Haunted Mansion, please tell him you saw him on the Disney Parks Blog!

  • I have been to the haunted mansion many times,but not during the holidays, video was a good reminder I must see it during that time also. This is the year !

  • I love the Haunted Mansion so much that I proposed to my wife there on 6/24/08 in line, just inside the gates. Its a memory we will never forget and relive each time we go.

  • We go to Disneyland at least 2 to 3 times a year. Everytime we are there we have to go on the Haunted Manison. It is one of my family favorites.

  • This has been a seasonal favorite since it’s conception! It’s the very reason my family, friends, and I trek through hoards of eagerly waiting guest to experience this. My favorite would have to be the main loading area motif. Scary, err, I mean Merry Christmas 🙂

  • The Haunted Mansion has always been one of my most favorite Disney attractions and Haunted Mansion Holiday makes it EVEN better! I was able to see it for the 1st time last December and it was WONDERFUL!!!! ºOº

  • This is my absolute VERY FAVORITE holiday layover!!!!!! I just LOVE it!! I sooo wish this layover could happen @ WDW so we could see it there next year!!!!! =)
