Last week, as I spent the last hour of the day chatting with a fellow photographer and blog master from northern Florida, I was just trying to come up with something a little different. This image is straight out of the camera with nothing done after the exposure was made, utilizing a slow (6 sec) shutter speed while manually zooming the lens during exposure. I consider it merely an alternative to the traditional view from Town Square, nothing more. I particularly like the way the balloons billow at their own pace, while the lights on Main Street take on a look of great speed. Happy holidays to everyone…

What a cool pic. I look at that and I think I should see Marty McFly zooming towards the castle in his DeLorean.
Awesome pic!!!!!

Awesome pictures. I’ve seen some great pictures of Disneyland and other Disney parks which fans have taken. I think it’d be great if you did a daily posting or a weekly posting of user submitted photos, where you select your favorites and share them with the rest of the world

Lovely shot Gene! The warm and cool colors are really striking in this particular photo! I certainly see a difference between this shot and mine where your longer exposure of 6 seconds allows for more of the “original” subjects to be viewed behind the streams of light much clearer. Great shot!
