Zooming Down Main Street, U.S.A.

Zooming Down Main Street, U.S.A.
Last week, as I spent the last hour of the day chatting with a fellow photographer and blog master from northern Florida, I was just trying to come up with something a little different. This image is straight out of the camera with nothing done after the exposure was made, utilizing a slow (6 sec) shutter speed while manually zooming the lens during exposure. I consider it merely an alternative to the traditional view from Town Square, nothing more. I particularly like the way the balloons billow at their own pace, while the lights on Main Street take on a look of great speed. Happy holidays to everyone…

What a cool pic. I look at that and I think I should see Marty McFly zooming towards the castle in his DeLorean.

Awesome pic!!!!!

Awesome pictures. I’ve seen some great pictures of Disneyland and other Disney parks which fans have taken. I think it’d be great if you did a daily posting or a weekly posting of user submitted photos, where you select your favorites and share them with the rest of the world :)

Lovely shot Gene! The warm and cool colors are really striking in this particular photo! I certainly see a difference between this shot and mine where your longer exposure of 6 seconds allows for more of the “original” subjects to be viewed behind the streams of light much clearer. Great shot! :)
