Disneyland Paris, Phantom Manor

Sometimes it is the Details

posted on March 11th, 2010 by Garth Vaughan, Photographer, Walt Disney World

Sometimes it is the Details
Sometimes it is good to discuss a picture. The thinking behind it or what went in to taking it. Sometimes it is better to let the picture do the talking.

I think this one falls in the category of the latter.

Where in WDW is this?

20

Lori from MI on March 12th, 2010 at 1:43 pm

Hello Elisabeth. As you go thru the castle into Fantasyland, this fountain will be just off to your left. It’s one of my favorite little smile generating spots. In fact I’ve taken several photos of it myself.

I saw this fountain when my family and I were in Disney World in November. I took a few photos of it. It’s beautiful =)

I love this spot. It is also our “safe spot” in the park. We use this fountain as our “go to” area when someone gets seperated from the group. Our daughter has always known that if she gets lost, go to the special fountain. If no one comes, go to one of the 2 stores there and tell someone you are lost and need to wait there. It is not near the front gates and easy to find because it is near the carousel. We have many photos of the area……

None as nice as this shot. I would buy this shot as well.

This is oh so Beautiful!!! Anywhere to buy this print?

Richard on March 12th, 2010 at 2:58 pm

I love the shot. What I think is really cool about the fountain is that, from the right angle, she is wearing a crown. The detail and thought put into the fountain (and the shot here) is amazing.

The simplicity of black and white is what makes the details stand out. Just precious!! Going for the fifth time in Sept.

Allison from CT on March 12th, 2010 at 5:25 pm

If only all life were this simple. Wondering if I’ll ever have a chance too go to Disney again.

Cynthia from ON on March 12th, 2010 at 5:45 pm

Awesome perspective. Next time I’ll come to MK I’ll make sure to take a shot!

My daughter and I know exactly where this is located. She cooled her feet here one summer.

I have a picture like it. There is so many detail spots around the World that we walk right by. I’m sorry that the center of the castle has been closed off, the mosaics there are beautiful. I look at them every time I go.

Kate from NE on March 13th, 2010 at 8:12 am

It would be priceless to experience Fantasyland with the solitude this picture represents.

Carolyn from IL on March 24th, 2010 at 9:43 am

Fabulous shot! I have been to WDW 40+ times and my scrapbooks are starting to look a like because I take pictures over and over in some of the same spots. This shot has given me some new ideas for when we return the end of September 2010. We were just there February 2010. Got to love DVC!!!
