The many ducks that have taken up residence at the Disneyland Resort can be found hanging out in many different areas. The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage Lagoon is my favorite place to photograph them, mostly because of the wonderful colors that can be found in the Lagoon.
Whether it’s a mother duck watching her duckling swimming in the colorful waters,
a mallard showing off by flapping his wings and making circles of color in the water,
Or just hanging out with some friendly (but annoying) seagulls, I think it’s good to be a duck at the Disneyland Resort.

I would live at Disneyland if I were a duck! But I was expecting at least ONE picture of Donald…

Hi Corrina,
Funny you should ask about Donald Duck. In the coming weeks, look for a fun photo of Donald.

Ditto to what Corrina said!

What spectacular pictures! My husband met husband and wife duck couple, “Ricky & Lucy,” yesterday at the Main Entrance. He was told they’ve been coming back every spring for five years!

We were at Disneyland last week, and took quite a few pictures of the Mama duck and her ducklings…so adorable! And so fluffy!

Great pictures! I love how ducks (and ducklings) seem to be appearing all over the place at the Resort!

I have always loved the Disneyland ducks. I have also wondered if the ducks were taking any cholesterol lowering medications due to all the french fries people feed them at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. Thanks for the wonderful pics.

I love the DOP of the last picture, and the first has a perfect compliment of colors. I’d love to get a job doing this? Is there any internships or how would one go about getting into something like this?

You missed a few!
There were about 10+ baby ducklings right next to the roller coaster ramp in the CA park. Literally, right next to the ramp on a rock in the water. You could look down on the walking overpass and see them.

It was a “ducky” day for my wife and daughter when they visited last week. They saw two mama ducks and their broods in the pond at the entrance to Frontierland. Then later that day, my wife got a great photo of our daughter with a very friendly mallard.

I love these pictures. Especially the duck flying out of the water with it’s wings spread out. The colors a fantastic.

The ducks are great! Does anyone know if the swans are still around the castle moat?

I love how the ducks walk around on Storybook Canals islands as if giants – almost like those old Japanese monster movies!!

Got some adorable pictures of the duck family at Animal Kingdom at the end of March.

One of our favorite ducks to see is the one who always sits in the middle of the walkway near the baby center leading up to first aid. He will sit there and not move. We just love laughing at that “sitting duck.”

Oh Disneyland ducks. I usually tend to make friends with these guys, always very friendly.
Once, in fact, I was sitting on a bench in Main Street and a group of them were behind me in the little grass section.
Well, I bent over the bench slightly and actually managed to pet a Mallard before it ran off.
The one and only time I’ve ever pet a duck!
