Jewel of Orleans
Have you heard the news? This week we are opening two new shops at the Disneyland Resort. Whether you’re looking for delectable treats to satisfy your sweet tooth or you have an eye for the perfect wardrobe accessory, one of our new destinations is surely going to appeal to you. Plans for the two new shops are well under way and the talented teams at the Disneyland Resort are fully immersed in the hustle and bustle of last minute touches to these exciting new shops.

On May 26, the place to be is…Geppetto’s Sweet Shoppe in Fantasyland, especially if you’re craving something particularly sweet. Some of the most delectable treats you’ll ever taste, including peanut brittle, toffee and more will be at your fingertips.

And since you, our readers love to be in the know on all things Disney, I couldn’t help but keep you in the loop! Next time you’re at the Disneyland Resort, make sure you pop into our new shops so you can experience them for yourselves!

Dooney and Bourke! I know where all the money I’m likely to spend is going this next trip. Only three more weeks!

Kind of weird that a guy known for being a toymaker is opening a sweet shop, but I’m not going to argue with another place to get candy!

Is the Jewel of Orleans shop in the place where the antique jewelry store was? I heard it was going to close and be replaced. I loved the antique jewelry but looking forward to visiting the new Jewel of Orleans. Thank you Disney for always surprising us with something new.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing something new that is Pinocchio influenced in the park! I am so sad to see the gem that was the Jewel of Orleans being replaced with something so ordinary, but am sure that it will be a success with guests.

Hate to be negative, but I wish that the resort would keep its merchandise Disney… I know that that’s probably a small and silly thing to pick at, but I think it just kind of takes away from the Disney magic to have Dooney & Bourke in the windows.

Im excited to visit these new places! I am going Friday right before heading back overseas so I am thrilled that it happened in time for me to see them! To Aubrey though…I was recently there and they have the Dooney and Bourke purses out already in other stores, they are Disney themed, they have the label but they have Mickey and Tinkerbell and other characters on them.

perhaps “Pleasure Island Sweet Shop” would have been a better name? Also, i’m wondering if the jewel will be selling the D&B bags they carry at Vault 28? those are Disney inspired..

Aubrey,

Dooney & Bourke is designing Disney bags now. You can see several of them in the Disney Parks section of disneystore.com. Presumably, they will be the types of bags that will be on display.

Ooh! I can’t wait for the new candy shop opening in the old Gepetto’s Toy Shop location! Will this new candy be made at Disneyland’s new Green Bakery we heard so much about last year?

I must say, I’m with Aubrey. I go to Disneyland to see and buy all things Disney. So I am glad to hear that they will be Disney designs. Can’t wait to see them when I am there next :D

Nothing can replace the old “Jewels” estate jewelry location, it’s really too bad, they already carry that same merchandise throughout the resort! Come on Disney, get back into theming your merchandise locations!

I always liked purchasing men’s watches from Jewel of Orleans in the past! Will they still sell them at the new store?

I will miss Diane’s Estate Jewelery, I’m glad they are online because we have been so happy with the diamonds we have bought, But I am curious to see if the new store will capture my heart in the same way.

I spent the day at the park yesterday, and waited all day to get over to New Orleans Square to see the new store (Jewel Orleans). I have to say I was highly disappointed. I was expecting to see different items…maybe some Disney Couture. Everything I saw in the store I had already seen on Main Street and in the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney. I didn’t see anything “exclusive” in or to the store. What a waste…. :(

Sooooo excited about Jewel of Orleans! Tarina Tarantino is such a magical and unique designer and so perfect for Disneyland! I honestly never even thought about shopping inside DL park until now. Super excited and plan on loading up on Tarina Tarantino jewelery when we go to DL in July!
