'World of Color'

We have some exciting news to share this holiday weekend. Starting tomorrow morning, Sunday, July 4, the Disney California Adventure park gate at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will open at 9:00 a.m. exclusively for Disneyland Resort Hotel guests so they can get in line for Disney’s FASTPASS tickets to each evening’s performances of “World of Color.” The Disneyland Resort hotels include the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.‬ The main entrance will open, as scheduled, at 9:30 a.m. for all other day guests.

While Park hours may vary, please check disneyland.com for the most up-to-date schedule. The early access for Disneyland Resort Hotel guests at the Disney California Adventure park gate at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be 30 minutes earlier than the opening listed for main entrance.

This is a great benefit for guests staying at Disneyland Resort Hotels, but guests not staying at the hotels will still have access to Disney’s FASTPASS tickets for “World of Color.

  • my thing was I went to the restaurant and tried to re-enter the DCA from the GC and was told NO WAY without a room key…despite the fact that I exited to the hotel from DCA ..to go to the restaurant

  • my thing is if you eat a restraunt can you get in at 9 since your considered a guest of the dlr hotel?

  • That’s great news! Will hotel guests be able to choose their Fastpass time slot? Because I think it is the best option for hotel guests to get the latest possible show, as a great “finale” for their day at the Resort!

  • Dear Disney Parks,

As an avid Disney fan, one of my greatest pleasures aside from actually being inside any of the parks is listening and re-listening to the great music used all over the parks. That being said, I find my collection of music a little sparse for the year 2010 – primarily in the areas of Summer Nightastic. Are there plans to release any of the music from Pixie Hollow, the Magical fireworks spectacular and World of Color?

    Sincerely
    Jeremy

  • This is great news for Disneyland Resort hotel guests! These folks should get the extra perks and the first shot at getting Fastpasses! Us locals can visit whenever, and we need to start making a full day of it for visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure instead of just buzzing in for a few hours after work. Good idea Disney! Keep it up and keep the perks coming for your hotel guests!

  • I don’t know how it is at other Disney parks, but at Disneyland you can get another fast pass two hours after you get the previous one. This way if the time for the fast pass is hours away you are not penalized for having a fast pass for a ride like Splash mountain where you might have to wait all day just to enter the fast pass line.

  • Would be nice if you were staying at a disney resort to be able to get TWO FAST PASSES, as many a time we have got a fast pass first thing entering during special early hours and it would be for late in the afternoon so you could not get another one till it expires.

  • This is GREAT news! Guests staying (and paying) for the Disney Resorts should be entitled to a bit more “convenience”!
There is *another* company (in Florida) that takes *their* guest experience even a step further and offers those staying at *their* hotels access to all FastPass lines anytime all day long (they don’t have to run and get one in advance, nor do they have to spend their precious vacation time waiting in over-long lines).
I think if people are willing to spend the extra money (or are “Disney-loyal” enough) to stay in a Disney-owned property – it would be GREAT “perk” for them to have as well!
That way, instead of rushing to be at early entry every single morning in order to grab FastPasses and beat the crowded hours – they could actually sleep in on their vacation and perhaps enjoy spending some time at the Disney Resort Hotel that they chose to stay in!
This is a great step forward in providing extra services for Disney resort guests!! Love it!

  • Since DLR hotel patrons ARE staying on-location (and thus can stay at the parks later than a one-day guest), will the early-entry FASTPASS tickets be for the 10:15pm showing (or the 3rd show, if applicable)? With the inclusion of all DLR hotel guests into the early entry gate, it seems that there will be no way for day guests to obtain tickets to the early show (and Carnivale of Color).
