World of Color show at Disneyland

As we celebrate the 55th anniversary of Disneyland this weekend, we’re giving guests, cast members and “World of Color” fans one more thing to celebrate.

We are adding a third “World of Color” show at 11:15 p.m. every night through Labor Day. The show has been extremely popular, and we’re hoping our guests will be thrilled with more opportunities to see this amazing display of water, music and Disney storytelling. (Please note: The time for all shows are subject to change. Please check Disneyland.com for the most up-to-date schedule and tips to reserve viewing).

We also will extend Disney California Adventure park hours until 11 p.m. through Sept. 6, 2010. This will give guests even more time to experience all of the exciting nighttime entertainment at the Disneyland Resort.

And if that’s not enough, we are also thrilled to announce that Toy Story Mania and Mulholland Madness will remain open during performances of “World of Color” while the park is still open to guests.

Comments

  • Oops..There seems to be another problem with the “Mulholland Madness” link. It now says “Page not found”

Its no big deal of course, but I just thought I’d mention it.

    Still excited about this news!

  • Heather, can you please confirm whether or not World of Color will be showing after September 6th? My family and I were planning on a visit in October and this is one of the things we were looking forward to the most!

  • Heather, how long will World of Color run for? It’s not on the Disneyland parks calendar after September 6th : (

Will those of us visiting mid-late September get to see it?

  • was wondering when the 10 finalists from the world of color video creator will be announced?

  • I hope you put in Alice in wonderland in world of color.

  • Can I say with all due respect, that I was a not big fan of the rare video of Mickey Mouse dancing at WDW. I guess when it comes to Mickey, I am too much of a traditionalist. It may take some doing to convert me.

  • Heather — are there going to be WoC showings after Labor Day? Maybe on weekends if not every night?

  • It seems that this big announcement serves as an attempt to overpower the fact that the park hours calender on Disneyland.com is showing NO WOC shows after Labor Day. A huge disappointment to AP holders that were blocked out all summer, as well as the “mega-fans” that will be descending on the parks in late September for the D23 Destination D and Scavenger Hunt events.

  • This is great news :)! Happy 55th Disneyland!

  • WOC is a huge production so I have a hard time believing that it will only be there for the summer! It seems like it will be year round just like Fantasmic, hope that helps ease everyone!

  • World of Color is amazing, not to be missed, World of Color will have two shows nightly unless it is being maintained, it is not just part of the summer line up! You can enjoy this year round!

  • By the way, there is a problem with the “Mulholland Madness” link, when clicked on, it takes you to the OLD Disneyland website.

    • Thanks, Fred. This has been fixed.

  • Very cool, and I’m glad that California Adventure will have extended hours.

  • Heather,

I was wondering if WOC will be available anytime in OCT? I will be there 10/16-10/22 and would really love a chance to see this wonderful show!

  • Will this mean that the WOC show will be extended for at least another week before Halloween officially sets in?
