Our teams have been hard at work in the kitchen coming up with new and innovative summer treats, just for you. From sweet and sour, to candies, cookies, apples and more … here’s a glimpse of what’s “in store” for you during the month of July and tips on where you can find them.
July 1: Sinfully delicious Key Lime Tarts (available during the month of July)
July 2 – 3 only: Old fashioned Candy Sticks (available in two flavors: Peppermint and Butterscotch)
July 5: Celebrate with our 55th Anniversary Cupcakes (available for a limited time)
July 9 – 14: Step up to the plate and grab a Baseball themed Mickey Mouse apple.
July 17: 55th Anniversary Candy Apple themed to Bandleader Mickey
Special fun facts about our hand-made Old Fashioned Candy Sticks…
- The candy sticks are based on those made and carried at the park in 1986.
- The candy sticks are hand-made by our Disneyland Resort Candy Makers.
- The candy sticks are made in a similar fashion to the Candy Canes that are made during the holidays but have a slightly different shaping routine at the end of the process.
- Peppermint and butterscotch are two of the most popular flavors of candy sticks among Guests.
Don’t miss out on these candy sticks. They’ll only be available July 2nd and 3rd at Candy Palace. Or if you’re looking for some of the other delectable treats that I’ve mentioned above then stop by some of our other candy kitchen locations throughout the Resort.

I know they say “limited time” on the 55th anniversary cupcakes…but how long is a “limited time”? Should I head over today? Or if I went on, say Friday….
I asked two employees at the Candy Palace about these yesterday, and neither of them had any idea what I was talking about. 🙁

I always loved to get the candy in the see through boxes that had a ceramic character figurine attached to the lid. I usually picked ones that had rock candy in it. I still have my Dumbo one. Those were my favorite. When I took my son for his very first trip a few years back, I was very sad to see that they don’t sell them anymore. I’d love to see them come back. Such a great souvenier and momento. I let my kids use mine now as a treasure box.
I Always love all the yummy treats the parks come up with, it was one of my favorite parts of visiting as a child!

I remember the handmade candy sticks from when I worked in the park in 1989. They filled the air with their delicious smell as the syrups were being added.
We’ll be there on the 5th for a vacation from the rain in Oregon.

I wish I could indulge in one of these treats but I can’t have any kind of dairy (milk, butter, etc) and I would love to find out if I can actually have something sweet at Disneyland!!??!

Every time I go to Candy Palace I look to see if there is any chance that they have the Candy Sticks back, so I’m so happy to see these. Is there any chance that the variety of flavors they used to have will be back? I think I remember flavors like lemon, grape, cherry, watermelon, and many others. If lemon and cherry were the flavors they had right now, I’d already be in my car, holiday traffic or not, anxious to get to Disneyland.
Hey Sheila! I know what you mean, those are some of my favorite flavors too. I’ve definitely passed your inquiry onto the teams and hopefully we’ll see more flavors and more candy sticks in our future.
