Last week, we asked fans of the Disneyland Facebook page, “What attraction at the Disneyland Resort makes you feel most like a kid again?” We received a lot of responses – more than 4,300 – but the number one response was “Peter Pan” for Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland park.

Peter Pan’s Flight

Runners up for the number one slot were Mad Tea Party (“Tea Cups”), it’s a small world (“Small World”), Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Pirates of the Caribbean, Enchanted Tiki Room and Haunted Mansion.

There were a lot of fun responses. Here are some of my favorites:

“Just being there makes me feel like a kid again.”

“Do I have to have just one? Tiki Room, Peter Pan, Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.”

“Everything!!!!”

“all of it. you walk in the gates, and you lose 40 years. if only you could lose 40 lbs along with it.”

Thanks again for all of your great responses. It’s your turn. What attraction makes you feel most like a kid again?

  • All of it! I love it all…..Even when I see the Disneyland sign upon arrival to the park I giggle. I feel like the little 7yr.old girl that’s being surprised with her and her younger brothers 1st trip to Disneyland all over again. It’s an amazing memory I have of my parents doing that for us.

  • As a kid, my favorite ride was Pirates and although riding it each visit brings a warm sense of nostalgia, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is the ride that makes me feel the most like a kid again.

  • Id have to say either philharmagic or pirates. Philharmaigc brings me back to the films i grew up with as a kid and loved and still love today and makes me feel like im hearing the songs for the first time:) Love It!

  • Peter Pan’s Flights is our family’s favorite attraction! This is usually our first stop in the park. In fact, on our last trip we celebrated my son’s birthday, and all he wanted to do was ride Peter Pan! Although Pirate’s and Tiki Room are a close second!

  • If I had to pick from the ones mentioned as runners up, I would have to say that Pirates makes me feel the most like a kid. It was my dad’s favorite ride and as a family we would all sing the song on the way in and on the way out of the rode. Sometimes, in the car on the way back to our hotel. My dad passed away in 2005 so that ride makes me feel most like a kid because it makes me remember how fun my dad was.

But if I can pick from all the rides, I think the teacups make me feel the most like a kid. All that spinning… Whoa!

  • Awwwww I love Peter Pan’s Flight!!! My family never leaves the park without going on this ride! We all act like children and people really find us annoying! Haha

  • Pirate’s of the Carribean……My dad who is no longer with us used to protect me from the pirate’s shooting. 🙂

  • I love the Tiki Room! It’s a completely immersive experience. Even waiting in the enchanted garden is so much fun! I love that the very walls get into the act,and the music is so infectous. I always wonder if it’s really raining outside, even though I know better. It’s awesome!

  • Haunted Mansion. there is no other like it, love it and must ride it every time I visit Disney.

  • @ Lauren
Ah Ha, so it’s you that does that. The only thing I wonder is how do you always visit the park AND ride SW the same day and time I am there?? LOL

  • That’s awesome. We always have to hit that at some point, even though the line is always so long.

  • I always liked It’s a Small World, that ride always made me remember when I was a kid and playing with my dolls. The Tea Cups were my second favorite.

  • Autopia wasn’t on that final list, and that one has to get my vote. All of those other atttractions are great, but getting behind the wheel of an Autopia car reminds me of being 10 again.

  • For me as a kid it was Pirates of the Carribean, Yo-ho a pirates life for me. However, this year I did return with my kids and smiles on the faces of all 3 of them after riding Peter Pans ride made me feel like a kid again. The magic of feeling like you are flying over the streets of London and being whisked away to Never Land with Peter and Wendy just made that trip all worth while. So this year I think it has to be Peter Pan.

  • So apparently its just me but getting on the road and just driving there is all it takes for me. I’ll be 23 next week and let me tell you I drive everyone in the car crazy with the Disney music and deciding what land to go to first even what food we MUST eat while were there. You can only imagine what I’m like when we actually get there. But my favorite ride is Peter Pan. I know my husband truly loves me because our whole living room has Peter every where down to the color of the walls. I love it there and I will never, ever change that! hehe

  • Philharmagic makes me feel like a kid again. All of the classic Disney movies in one place brings me back. And I love watching the kids reactions when the water come out and the objects pop out of the screen.

  • i’m 21 and although I should be “grown up” there is no where else in the world I want to be more than Disney World. I have tried to hold on to all the magic and bring it into my daily life. “Peter Pan” is a great choice but the line is so long, I usually skip it.

  • Peter Pan is the ride that makes me most feel like a kid again (though they all do a great job of it). Something about flying in those pirate ships over London and Neverland will always make me giddy. I still catch myself trying to guess which color sails our ship will have while in line like my brother and I used to do. I cant wait to take our daughter on it again, now that she is old enough to have seen and love Peter Pan. She loved the ride last year, I can only imagine her joy this year!

  • everything there makes me feel like a kid again when you walk through the front gates.
but the one thing that realy makes me like a kid is the Haunted Mansion.

  • I agree with one of the previous comments about the effect the entire park as a whole has on you….just walking through the gates, seeing Main Street, hearing that train whistle blow & catching that first glimpse of the castle made me feel like a kid again…no single attraction can do all of that!!

  • “It’s a Small World” We always sing it at the top of our lungs the whole way through. We are annoying!

  • All good choices, it’s hard to pick just one.
