Many teens have big dreams about what life has in store for them once they graduate from school. When I was in high school, fame and fortune certainly were on my wish list. As I got older, I came to realize and appreciate the hard work needed to make these desires come true.

Hundreds of Central Florida high school juniors and seniors recently got a lesson in how to take their dreams one step closer to reality as part of the ESPN 101 Career Panel hosted at the Walt Disney World Clubhouse of Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida.

ESPN anchor Jay Harris, joined by a panel of experts who are at the top of their profession in sports and entertainment, gave the students some direct, real-world advice. Students lined up to pepper the panelists with questions about how they could channel their spirit for sports and stardom into future careers.

It is great to see those who have worked hard and have earned their position in the spotlight to give back to the youth so that they can set the course for their dreams as well.
