Trick Roper Amazes at Walt Disney World Resort

posted on December 2nd, 2010 by Thomas Smith, Social Media Director, Disney Parks

It takes a lot to steal my attention from great barbecue but trick roper Trevor does it at Mickey’s Backyard BBQ Dinner Show. He’s good – actually, a master in the art of spinning a lasso and it’s quite amazing to watch. During his 10 years of performing in the show, the two-time world champion has perfected his tricks, including the “Texas Skip” (jumping though a spinning loop from one side to the other) and a unique feat with 60-feet of rope.

Trick Roper Trevor Performs a Unique Feat with 60-Feet of Rope

Our “cowpoke correspondent” Gary ran into Trevor at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and learned just how good the self-taught trick roper is with a lasso. It’s a lesson with a surprise ending.

Have you seen Trevor’s rope tricks? Let us know what you think and if Mickey’s Backyard BBQ Dinner Show is a “must do” for you.

Trevor has some great rope skills! Also, I liked the “Hidden Mickey” in the title block. :)

Awesome video! Trevor is awesome and Gary, you never cease to make me laugh. The BBQ is definitely worth it. Great food, great talent, and dancing with the Disney characters. I only wish they offered it more nights a week, since I hear it’s sold out till the end of the year.
