“A Christmas Fantasy” parade is one of my favorite things about the holidays at the Resort. I love the skating snowflakes and seeing the cute little gingerbread men merrily making their way down the parade route.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, take a look at today’s video to catch some of the highlights. The parade features six major “units,” each consisting of multiple floats. The units are Santa’s Cottage, the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, the Candy Shop, the Christmas Ball, the Toy Factory and the Finale featuring Santa’s sleigh.
We asked Park guests what they like best about the parade, and here’s what they had to say:
It’s your turn. What’s your favorite part of “A Christmas Fantasy” parade?

The toy soldiers have always been my favorite. When I see them march, then I know its Christmas…..along with the Norelco Santa.

For me the toy soldiers playing their trumpets and drums. To my 4.5 years old son, the teddy bear and dancer appearing at the beginning of the parade. My 2.5 years old daughter the princesses and my wife likes Mickey and Minnie skating.

too many to choose, the tigger and pooh is my favorite part, they should add some Marvel characters to the parade since they have the rights now

The Toy Soldiers (since I am a horn player) but my favorite part is one that is no longer there… the old-school reindeer (still at WDW). They were quite fun. Toy Factory takes honorable mention.

Definitely the Toy Soldiers. I also like Santa Claus greeting the crowd “Maligayang Pasko” which means Merry Christmas in Tagalog =).

I love this parade!
I like the current reindeer that are in the parade. They look cute. I have to admit that I kind of like them better than the old reindeer.
I also like the current snowmen and Gingerbread men better than the old snowmen and old gingerbread men.
I love the whole parade and the music, but I have to say, the Gingerbread and Princess ball units have got great choreography.
I also love the fact that the parade have gotten several updates and new floats over the years.
This year I noticed that the aliens on Buzz’s float now move. In previous years they were static.

Absolutely the music. One of my favorite scores from the parks. And absolutely my favorite parade of all time. Not one part I hate.

This parade is fantastic! However, I remember an earlier parade where all the floats were snowglobes with various characters and scenes inside. I’d love to know more about that parade, since it’s the first Christmas-themed Disneyland parade I witnessed. It couldn’t have been *that* long ago, maybe ’99 or ’00.

The music. When I hear it, it is now officially Christmas.

I’d have to say it’s the end when we know Santa is coming…in 1997 I sat at the edge of the circle by the Christmas tree and watched the whole parade with all my kids. I looked down the parade route and saw Santa coming and I turned to my kids to say “Look, Santa’s coming!” and realized they had all outgrown Santa. My heart shattered into a million tiny pieces. I cried the rest of the day in the “Happiest Place on Earth!” But here’s the happy ending in all Disney stories! We have still continued the tradition…every year saving up to go to Disneyland and watching the parade when we could afford it and last year I saved enough to fly my son and granddaughter, who is five out from Texas to go with us. Again all my kids were there but this time when I looked down the parade route and saw Santa and I said “Sydney, Look! Santa is coming!” he tears were different because not only did I believe but I knew that Sydney did too.

First of all, please don;t ever bring the Marvel characters to a Disney Park. I don’t care if Disney does own the rights. It’s just not Disney.
Second, I saw the parade yesterday and I was thrilled to see some new additions to keep the parade fresh. Are the snowmen and snowflakes gone forever? I know it’s ridiculous to ask for new and expect to keep the old, but I missed them.
