Downtown Disney District Celebrates 10 Years

It has been 10 years since the Downtown Disney District opened. The popular promenade connects Disneyland park to Disney California Adventure park and all three resort hotels. It’s a great place to eat (high-end or casual), to shop, or to catch a movie. Personally, I love stopping and watching the various musicians. I’m especially excited about the Dueling Pianos that play every Thursday night at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen (until the end of February.)

This video is a look back at the making of Downtown Disney. Enjoy! And for more information on the latest entertainment schedule and special offers go to www.downtowndisney.com/Anaheim.

  • Great video post. I remember visiting when Downtown Disney was under construction, I couldn’t even fathom what the end result was going to look like. After visiting a few years later I was delighted by Downtown Disney and how the magic spills over from the park into DD. If you can post side-by-side before and after photos, of the land and the construction, and the finished DD, that would be fantastic!

  • 33 seconds isn’t enough. I would love to see a MUCH LONGER video. Please post if you have one…

  • MUCH LOVE !!!! and CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

  • Haha Y Arriba Y Arriba…I almost forgot about that place.

I was actually at the opening ceremonies of DCA 10 years ago today. Crazy cold night “camping out” under the Matterhorn before being marched up Mainstreet and over to the grand opening festivities – definitely a day I will never forget!
