Something new is in store for you at World of Disney, and I’ve got the all-access pass to take you behind the scenes before the new look is revealed on March 5.
During the past several weeks, teams from around the Disneyland Resort have been hard at work inside World of Disney, adding a “magic” touch to everything from floors and fixtures to the eye-catching mural-like panels that will line the walls of this new space. These new mural panels are set to feature some of Disney’s most beloved films and characters. Some of my favorites, you ask? “Beauty and the Beast” and “Peter Pan,” of course. Followed by the “Cars” panel, which is really cool because it features all of our favorite, classic “Cars.”
The new craftsman art-style room in the 25,000-square-foot store will be home to games, toys, plush and more, making it the ultimate children’s playground.
The walls will come down March 5, when the doors to World of Disney open. If you’re visiting the Disneyland Resort this weekend, be sure to swing by and check it out. I think you’ll like it.

Im so Excited I really can’t wait to see it! Im going in only two weeks,though I really hope they didn’t change the jewlery department. Its Probley my favorite due to that its decorated in Disney Villains.

I love it. I’m a big alice in wonderland fan so I think it looks perfect. I can’t wait to go see it when my fiance and I go for our honeymoon in april.
Super Cool! I am in Retail Marketing and Store Design. I spent ALL day today in meetings discussing future projects. As cool as I thought our ideas and concepts were…..Disney has us beat!

We were already planning on being in the parks this weekend. Guess I’ll just have to FORCE myself to check out the newly re-designed store.

Awesome we so miss Disneyland we had Annual Passes when we lived in Southern CA.. now we live in Oklahoma and cannot afford to drive there. My son who is special needs (Autism) misses it very much.

I’m also relieved to hear this, because I had noticed that walls were up inside World of Disney, and I was worried that part of the retail space had been closed indefinitely.
Hi Fred! I’m so glad you like it! We’re so excited for everyone to see it. It really looks great. If you plan on joining us tomorrow morning, we have a couple of great doorbusters that will be offered at store opening. I just got a hot tip that they will have a beach towel and a Disneyland frame for only $5 each.
Not going till Christmas…..but I can’t wait to see it!
