Downtown Disney is in full “green” mode in celebration of Earth Day, April 22.

Here’s a rundown of the “earthy” activities:

  • Catch the latest Disneynature film – “African Cats” – premiering at the AMC 12 Theaters.
  • Celebrate Earth Day at Downtown Disney

  • Check out Archisand who will sculpt a “larger than life” replica of a lioness and her cubs (located between AMC 12 Theaters and Kitson Kids).
  • Get your FREE Earth Day Face Painting (African Cats-themed) from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Kaman’s Art Shoppe kiosk.
  • Watch as Splash! Animals paints beautiful portraits of endangered animals with only their hands and some environmentally friendly paint! Shows run from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. April 22, and 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. April 23.
  • Build a special Earth Day Soy Bear at Build-A-Bear Workshop (Yew Yew the Greenzys Panda).
  • Take a picture with Cha Cha the frog at Rainforest Café.

Take a look back at some of the exciting art created by Splash! Animals at previous Downtown Disney appearances.

Hope to see you there!

Comments

  • We would SO be there if we could!

  • I got so excited when I saw the mention of Build-a-Bear. After several minutes of excited research, I realized this post was referencing Downtown Disney only at Disneyland, not DisneyWorld. Any plans for BaBW to come to Florida?

  • I’m looking forward to seeing African Cats. I’ve really enjoyed the Disneynature series.
