You may have heard that the author of the Kingdom Keepers novels, Ridley Pearson, was visiting Walt Disney World this week to celebrate the release of his newest book, Kingdom Keepers IV: Power Play. Well, while Ridley was in the Parks, he took a few minutes to make a special video for his fans here on the Disney Parks Blog.

Ridley shared a few details about Power Play and the books that are still to come in the Kingdom Keepers series. And during our conversation, a couple familiar faces around the Parks stopped by for a visit. Check it out.

In the video, Ridley mentions the Kingdom Keepers Quest – a new Disney Youth Programs self-guided tour for school groups. Using the Kingdom Keepers novels as a guide, students move from attraction to attraction at the Magic Kingdom. They solve puzzles and test their math and language art skills, supporting the Kingdom Keepers efforts to hold back the Overtakers.

Starting in May, you can book the Kingdom Keepers Quest for Fall 2011. Keep watching DisneyYouthTickets.com for more information.

  • Can you just get the maps for the Kingdom Keepers Quest? I collect Disney Park Maps and I would love to have one. This looks like it would be so much fun! I’ve been reading the 4th book nonstop since I got it.

  • Excited that this is the first book club selection.

  • I love the KK books and can’t wait to read the latest offering. I wish they could be incorporated into the parks somehow (kind of like the Kim Possible adventure in Epcot).

  • I just started reading this series a couple of days ago and I’m really enjoying it. Would be fun to meet the author and hear him speak briefly.

The Quest would be way fun too…we’re planning to come to WDW next year (2012) and would love to get involved if it’s running still/again and is available for family groups

  • More books to come! YEAH!! I’ll have to make it a point to have my daughter (and myself) at the next signing at WDW for future books. (We couldn’t make it this year)

  • The Kingdom Keepers series so far has been so much fun to read! I got the 4th book yesterday, and plan on finishing it today!!! It would be really fun to incorporate the KK into the parks…just saying… 😀

  • I saw Ridley again yesterday at a book signing for KK4. Such a nice guy!

  • Will the Kingdom Keepers Quest only be for school groups, or can we book it as a family? (We are coming in September from New Zealand and this would be the only chance we would get to do it) 🙂
