Anyone planning to go to both this year?

Comments

  • We are staying at the resort during the first Halloween party, I assume that we will have to purchase tickets over and above the 7 day pass we purchased with our accomodation.

  • So disappointed! I planned my son’s first trip the week of Thanksgiving because I thought we would be able to see MVMCP. Now the dates have been released and there are not any scheduled for the week we will be there!

  • I noticed the last Christmas Party date is 12/18. Is that standard practice? We were planning on being there 12/23-12/27. Why aren’t there any dates closer to Christmas?

  • Do you know what days the DVC discount applies? And do I buy those tickets through DVC?

  • Any word on when Mickey’s Trick or Treat at Disneyland tickets will go on sale? Thx

  • I have tried twice now (yesterday and today) to buy tickets for the MVMCP on 15 November, and each time I receive an email saying the ticket order could not be completed, but gives me no reason why. I tried ringing the ticket office and hung on for 20 mins (from the UK!!!!) but got no reply at all, and I have emailed the ticket office but didn’t get a response either. HELP – please??!!

  • Does anyone know if there will be the free meal plan during any of the dates in September or October?

  • We always buy the magic your way package with park hopper. This will be our first time at Disney during the month of October. Question, do we need to buy a separate “party” ticket for each day we want to be at MK during “party” hours, or is 1 ticket good for each night of the “party”? Question, how do they get people out of the park that are already in there but don’t have a “party” ticket? Seems like we will not get our money’s worth out of our regular package because we will be shut out of the park on “party” nights unless we spend more money to stay.

  • thanks jennifer i will try later 2night i was worry it was my credit card but it was not thanks looking 4ward 2 my trip 2 disney soon

  • hi i would love 2 come to the mickey mouse christmas on 9 nov 2011 but i can’t get the site 2 work it goes as far as putting your payment then submit but says the tickets i would like are unavailable please try in few mins help lisa

    • I believe the ticketing system is having problems today. I don’t have an ETA on when it will be up and running perfectly. Please check back later tonight – and don’t worry. Although these ticketed events can sell out, I’ve never heard of one selling out in May! That usually happens MUCH closer to time.

  • Heyy, just wondering, when are the Disneyland Halloween Party tickets going to be able for purchase?

    • Just got word that Disneyland dates won’t be announced until mid-summer.

  • @Leslie – When I called and purchased tix to the October 13th MNSSHP yesterday, I remember the Disney agent saying that tickets are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable. I hope your husband can make it!!

    • Correct!

  • Are the MNSSHP tickets refundable? I want to buy 3 tickets for the October 20th party, but my husband still isn’t sure if he’s going to make it or not (his job is very unpredictable!). On the other hand, I don’t want to wait to buy the tickets and risk it being sold out. Not sure what to do 🙁

  • Tasha — it would probably be easier to just call Disney and ask.

    • I’ve just sent a request for info on DVC/Military/Passholder discounts, as well as any planned Disney VISA card discount. Please check back!

  • Is there a Disney Visa discount this year, and if so how much is that? Need to decide which is best- that or AP or DVC price! 🙂

My wife & I are planning to go with another couple for their anniversary on Sept. 13th and it should be a blast! My friend & I are planning to go as Jedi and I may look a bit like a certain famous Mouse from SWW in my robes… 😉

    • I just confirmed that as of now, there is no discount currently planned for Disney Visa Card holders.

  • I wish Disneyland would just announce the dates to we can save up for our trip too. @Maryanne the don’t usually get to it til the end of may 🙁

  • I have three questions please!

    1) Will they be announcing military discounts for MVMCP and possibly when?

    2) Would I be able to call and get them with a credit card and then show miltary ID at the will call window the day of the party?

    3) Do the mid Nov parties sell out? I was wondering in case we have to wait until the day of to use military discount, we were driving down just for the party but hate to make the 6 hr ride and the party be sold out.. Any suggestions?

    • I’ve just sent a request for info on DVC/Military/Passholder discounts, as well as any planned Disney VISA card discount. Please check back!

  • So these dates are just for WDW? Or is it the same for Disneyland? If not, any chance of knowing those dates and availability to get tickets soon? 🙂

  • If you have regular admission tickets for the parks during on of the christmas party days, do you have to leave the park at 7pm if you don’t have a separate ticket for the party?

    • Yes. But, operation hours are usually adjusted and entertainment is shifted so that day guests really don’t miss much if it’s a party night.

  • Nancy, the MNSSHP ticket does NOT include park admission. YOu need to purchase park tickets separately. If you only have park tickes on MNSSHP days, you have to leave the park by 7:00, and only those with the additional tickets may stay.

(Not sure if it’s the same for the Christmas party)

    • Just to be clear, if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom on a party date, you have the choice of buying: 1) daytime admission (though 7 p.m.), OR a party ticket (which includes admission during party hours 7 p.m.-midnight, plus all the extra party stuff). If you’re attending a party, you don’t need to buy a party ticket AND an admission ticket if you’re only going to the park during party hours.

  • trying to get tickets for it my little girl she is 10 and never been to disney so trying to get them also its for her birthday

    • Great! The parties won’t disappoint. There are more character meet-and-greet experiences, special entertainment, huge fireworks shows, and more for our parties. I’m sure you’ll both have a great time, no matter which party you attend.

  • Yeah, I’m trying to buy tickets for 10/13, the dates and therefore prices are wrong on Disney’s website, and the computers are down in the ticket center, so I can’t buy them on the phone either. We’ve had so many problems with our reservations this time. 🙁

    • Erika – We apologize for the error. I just let Disney.com know about the date change.

  • Does anyone know the rates for the annual pass holders? I couldn’t find it….
    Thanks in advance 🙂

  • This may be a dumb question but can I assume that ticket purchase includes park admission, and is not in addition to park admission?

    • It includes admission to the park only during party hours, so if you wanted to visit earlier in the day, you’d have to purchase a separate ticket.

  • The prices for the Halloween Party here don’t match what’s posted on the Disney World site.
The site says that for some dates the price is as high as $67.95 plus tax.

  • I have a quick question.. I’m planning on going to Disney around Christmas. I was wondering if the tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is on a first come, first serve basis?

    • Yes, they are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. So, if you want to be first, you can actually buy today.

  • Does the Halloween party ever sell out? Curious if I need to buy tix now or if I can hold on to my money for a few more months. Thanks!

    • The closer we get to Halloween, the more tickets are sold. If there is a specific date you want (such as Oct. 31), I’d book as soon as possible. Parties closer to actual Halloween do seem to be much busier than parties earlier in the month.

  • Tauny its usually around the 4th of December. I hope that gives you at least the time frame to plan around.

  • I am curious. Will the Pirates League be extending their hours for the MNSSHP? I have scheduled my son for the last appt. of the day but, that still leaves 3hrs. before the party for my 3yr. old to have to keep the makeup intact.

    • No word on this yet. (They did last year). Keep checking back!

  • Does anyone know the dates that they will be taping for the Christmas parade? I would love to take my daughters to see that?

    • That’s usually done very early in December. It’s not taped during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, though. It is taped during regular daylight hours.

  • Any plans to bring a Christmas party to Disneyland?

  • There is a typo on the site for one of the dates….. There is a Friday, October 14th, but no Friday, October 13th (like the site says). Just thought I would let someone know! 🙂

    • Thanks. I just sent Disney.com a correction.

  • Are the dates for DVC and AP discounts available for MVMCP?
