A Sweet Adventure at Disney California Adventure Park

There’s nothing ordinary about the treats offered at Disneyland Resort. This summer, join me for a “sweet adventure” as we explore Dulce Aventura now open in the Pacific Wharf area of Disney California Adventure park and the perfect place to add some zest to your sweet quotient.

Dulce Aventura at Disney California Adventure Park

Caramel apples are a definite must, especially the apple pie-inspired creation, which in my estimation is top notch. The combination of apple, caramel, white chocolate and crushed graham crackers elevates these everyday ingredients to new heights. Other delectable items range from cookies to brownies and even milk chocolate pretzels. But if you’re like me and you don’t mind a little pizazz, then I would definitely recommend the spicy peanut brittle or spicy peanut apple.

So remember, if you want to tempt your taste buds with sweets, be adventurous and stop by Dulce Aventura today.

  • I was doing ok…resisting, resisting, resisting, “peanut brittle” you got me! How does Disney always know how to tempt you past your breaking point?

  • Cant wait we go to DL and DCA the begining of Aug. IM so excited for all the new food shops!! I LOVE DIsneyland 🙂

  • wow, it sounds and looks delicious!!! thanks!!! 🙂

  • spicy peanut brittle I have to try that. Going in two weeks

  • We go to Disneyland at least 3 times a year, and will never tire of it, but…what about having something (other than soft drinks) to drink and something sweet (low sugar) for us diabetics ? Surely the great Disney chefs can work on this…thanks !!!

    • Teresa,
“No sugar added” cakes are available upon request via special order. So definitely keep that in mind the next time you are visiting.

  • I wonder if the Wharf area is going to be rethemed as well? A Pixar theme using characters like Rataouille or a vintage Disney theme (to tie in with Paradise pier) would make it a fun place to eat in!

  • Last time we were at a Disney park, we were able to eat more freely as kids weren’t with us. Fast forward 10 years and 3 kids later who have food allergies (grrrr….), are there any allergy friendly sweets us families can purchase at the park or are we stuck brining our own?? (mainly, gluten, dairy, eggs and soy)

    • Hey Heather,

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Food & Beverage team is committed to offering a wide range of options to accommodate Guests with food allergies or intolerances. Guests should notate these food allergies and intolerances at the time of booking their dining reservation. Guests are also welcome to speak to a chef or a manager on duty when arriving at the dining location.
Whether dining at a table-service or quick-service restaurant, Guest food allergy or intolerance requirements will be addressed when brought to our attention. Hope that’s helpful.

  • We’ll be back at DCA in late August to check out the sweet stuff. In the meantime, I would sure like to see photos of the treats mentioned in this post. 🙂

  • Yum!!! Sounds delicious. So glad we decided to head west for the Expo; I get to try so many new treats.
