Lightning McQueen Joins Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Earlier this summer, we broke the news that “Cars 2” star Lightning McQueen was set to join Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in July.

We just received word that Disney’s famous racecar is revved up and ready to make his debut performance in the show beginning today. Read the original story for all the details.

We will be there in August and can’t wait to see the show! Question: Where and when is the McQueen and Mater meet and greet? Does it run all day or just right before or after the show times? We were there in the morning in May and didn’t realize that the stunt show is only in the afternoons so we plan to go to MGM in the afternoon this time. We are hoping to catch this and the new Phineas and Ferb meet and greet too.

The best way to find your favorite character during your trip is to pick up a Times Guide at the front of the park when you arrive. Times and locations change all the time, and this document has the most updated info possible.

The Lights, Motors, Action! Show is one of my favorite attractions at Hollywood Studios. I’m glad to see that you’re adding Lightning McQueen into the mix :)

Hello Jennifer,
My family and I will be there August 23-26. Is there a particular iPhone app that your endorse. One that has a daily schedule of show times and charecter appearances. My son would aboslutely not want to miss this stunt show. I currently use WDW Magic Guide but it does not have show times. I would love your opinion on an app that has it all. Thank you!

This gives me a reason to go see it this year. I’d seen it twice before, but hadn’t been interested in watching a third time. My daughter is a huge Cars fan, though, so we’ll be watching this time!

I hope Florida’s version is better than the one we saw in Paris.

Love the idea of McQueen being part of Lights, Motors, Action! Seems like a perfect fit. Wondering if is a time frame for how long he will be part of the attraction, though? We’ll be there in the fall this year so hoping we’ll get to see Lightning do his thing!

I have no end date for this. (I think that’s a good sign).

We have seen this show before a few years ago but passed-it-by last year when we took our 3 year old granddaughter to WDW because we didn’t think there was anything in it for her. But she loves “Cars” so we will definitely be seeing the show when we return in September. I think that this is a great addition, especially to make this show more appealing to the younger guests.
