posted on August 24th, 2011 by Jennifer Fickley-Baker, Social Media Manager

“Hang on to your hats and glasses” folks, because today we’re launching the second in a series of Disney Parks Blog wallpapers – this time inspired by the popular Frontierland attraction, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Add ‘the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness’ to Your Desktop

Click on the image above for a list of resolutions that fit your desktop, iPad or smart phone. Be sure to check out the terms of use about using the wallpaper before you download it. And if you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to check out the first wallpaper in the series that starred Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

Which attraction will be next? Any guesses?

Oh this is so lovely! I’d like to see wallpapers from many attractions… World of Color, maybe? But I guess the next one will be Space Mountain! Or Splash Mountain? Love both!

Which attraction will be next?…The answer is obvious…Turkey Legs! (They count as an attraction, right?)

Yay! A new one! I was looking at the Dumbo one yesterday and wondered when the new one would release. Ummmm, my next guess for the next one is Pirates of the Caribbean.

Would it be possible to have these available in a widescreen format? My computer’s resolution is 1366×768 and none of the available sizes look right on my computer. :(

How funny! My six year old just asked me today how long I was going to keep Dumbo on my computer, and when I was getting a new wallpaper. I guess “today” is the answer. I’m waiting for the Tiki Room! =)

Happy you have a new option to show him. We have some great ones in the works, so stay tuned!

Is there any way to get these wallpapers in a widescreen resolution (1366 x 768) or similar? I’ve gotten some on the ones from the Disney Vacation Connection and they don’t display right for me.

Let me look into it….

My vote is for Jungle Cruise. Maybe put a hidden John Lassater in the poster.

That Big Thunder wallpaper is quite nice.

Hope they’ll make more similar wallpapers for other attractions. I’d really like to see a Country Bear Jamboree one, for instance.

It would be funny to see former Jungle Cruise Skipper’s Kevin Costner and John Lasseter piloting past Indy, with Harrison Ford out on the small loading dock warning them away from the dangers of the temple.
