Every Role a Starring Role – Disney Youth Education Series Facilitator at Disneyland Resort

posted on September 27th, 2011 by Kevin Rafferty, Jr., Communications Specialist, Disneyland Resort

We all know the Disneyland Resort is a big playground, but did you know it also serves as an educational laboratory?

Watch as Matt Aldapa, a Disney Youth Education Series facilitator, takes guests through Disney’s World of Physics: Energy and Waves program, one of many Youth Education Series courses offered at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.

I love what I heard — that the Disney Magic is often science. That is what I love about science, that magical sense of discovery. Yes, it is Disney Magic that makes main street buildings look taller than they actually are. It is also math and science. The fireworks at night are very magical, and math and chemistry science.

Very cool job

That’s so GREAT! I work for an after school program, and this would be great for my leadership club. How can I find out about taking my group of students for that program at the park?

Wow! My boyfriend would be absolutely INCREDIBLE at this job! I showed him the video and he’s super interested about it. How could he go about getting info about it and possibly an application?

Wish I could have been in that program when I was younger.

This is awesome!! I’m in my 30′s, and I want to be a part of this program – from the student perspective, ha ha! What an incredible experience.

I have always been interested in becoming an educator, but I am incredibly inspired by this position. It combines my two favorite things: teaching and Disney! Wow!

What are the qualifications of a Disney YSEF? I didn’t see any current postings for this position on your career site, but I’d love to know more about it! I’d like to make sure that I’m enrolled in the right programs to be a good candidate for this position in the future!
