This Friday, Oct. 7, marks the 20th anniversary of the start of sales for Disney Vacation Club. Here is a photograph of the original Preview Center as it was nearing completion in June of 1991 at what is now known as Disney’s Old Key West Resort. The Disney Vacation Club Preview Center is now located at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
Inside the Storybook Room, guests were given an entertaining presentation regarding the purchase of an ownership interest in Disney Vacation Club. And while the Storybook Room has been updated and moved over the years, the very first one actually included a giant pop-up storybook.
With a book that size, it’s no wonder Tinker Bell was on hand to turn the pages!

I wasnt lucky enought to get in that early.[Member scince 2008] But have been a fan of Walt Disny scince the 1950s. These old pic,s of WALT remind me of the Old Micky Mouse Club TV show back then all TV shows were in Black &White.I have been also,lucky enought to go to Walt Disney World Resort starting back in 1978,and have watch the growth from the Parks to the Resorts WOW. The main relaxation is when we go over there to DISNEY. Thanks for all that you do.[DISNEY EMPLOYEES]

And after going through the tour, we got Dippin Dots ice cream. The first time we ever had them and it seemed like the perfect fit. The future ice cream, with the future of our WDW vacations. It been a great 20 years, and look forward to the next 30.

I can’t believe it’s been that long! My parents bought the DVC in 1992. I remember the big book very well.

We’ve been members since 2004 (bought Disney’s Saratoga Springs in 2003). We love DVC and have had some amazing vacations! Hoping for some great new resorts too!

I remember that room also, my parents bought in 1994 which was my first trip ever to Disney, I was 13 then and proud to say I’m now the 3rd owner of the Vacation Club with my parents.

have been a member since 1993, and have been back at least once every year. Next March, 3 bedroom Grand Villa at the Boardwalk!!! It can’t come soon enough!!!!!
