Bake Me A Cake – Tangaroa Terrace Sweet Potato Cake at the Disneyland Resort

posted on November 17th, 2011 by Pam Brandon, Disney Parks Food Writer

Next up in our series of luscious cakes from Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts is this delectable sweet potato cake from the Disneyland Bakery. Don’t look for a recipe – we don’t have it – our intent is merely to showcase the talent that goes into making every single sweet. (And to make you hungry!)

This cake is served at Tangaroa Terrace – Casual Island Dining at the Disneyland Hotel, a combo of sponge cake made with sweet potatoes and a guava cream cheese filling. A drizzle of simple syrup keeps it moist, and a sprinkle of sugar between layers makes it easy to build the cake.

Watch baker Romel Manalang work his magic!
