Introducing New Stars on the Disney Fantasy: The Muppets

posted on November 29th, 2011 by Jason Lasecki, Public Relations Director, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures By Disney, Disney Vacation Club

Fresh off their starring role in Disney’s “The Muppets,” Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie and Animal are getting ready for their next great adventure, taking place on the Disney Fantasy!

Introducing News Stars on the Disney Fantasy: The Muppets

The Muppets are the stars of a new adventure game, “The Case of the Stolen Show,” which takes guests on an interactive quest around the ship via more than a dozen pieces of Enchanted Art and physical clues.

The goal of the game is to help the Muppets find their missing props so they can take the stage for a big performance. Guided by a map and using a unique game card that is held up in front of select pieces of Enchanted Art, guests unveil clues that help find the missing props.

Take a look at these behind-the-scenes shots of Kermit and the some of the other Muppets on set as they begin filming for this game.

The Muppets Adventure Game isn’t the only new element associated with our Enchanted Art collection on the Disney Fantasy. Check back on the Disney Parks Blog Thursday for a sneak peek at some of the magical pieces that will make their debut on this ship’s maiden voyage in March!

Nice to see the Movie’s weekend bringing back some Muppet marketing–
But if the Jason Segel character was included, I’d jump off the side of the ship. ;)

Awesome! Is so great to see the Muppets included. I am a Muppet fan from way back.

Sorry, but this is embarrassing. The muppets are NOT Disney. With the entire inventory of actual Disney characters, this is the best they could come up with? I was really looking forward to the mid-ship Detective Agency like they have on the Dream. I guess the one good thing is that this interactive feature can easily be changed/updated and I would guess that within a year, it will have been changed to something else.

On the bright side, I’ve loved every other feature they’ve introduced so far for the Fantasy! From the Animator’s Palette show to the enlarged water-play areas to the European-themed nightclub areas.

I agree; a Muppet dark ride would be awesome. It would be great to have in Disney California Adventure, perhaps for phase two of the expansion.

Not too thrilled about the muppets, and no Muppets dark side please. we have enough darkness with vampire stuff in the world.
