Candlelight in Motion at Disneyland Park

One of my favorite times of year at the Disneyland Resort is the holidays, and I always look forward to photographing the Candlelight Processional. So I wanted to share my favorite photo from this year’s Candlelight. This was taken from the roof of the Disney Showcase, looking down at more than 500 choir members as they made their way down Main Street, U.S.A., to where they perform in front of the Main Street Train Station.

For those of you that are interested in the camera settings, here you go: ISO was 2000, the aperture was set to F4 and the shutter was 4 seconds.

What are your favorite photos to take at the Disneyland Resort over the holidays?

  • 2000 ISO and no grain, even with post luminosity adjustments, if any, all the details are preserved… I am very very jealous hahaha.

  • Great photo and sense of motion. Thank you very much for sharing the settings as well. One question, what camera did you use for this photo? As an enthusiast I’m just curious as to what the Chief Photographer at Disneyland uses.
