Comedy Warehouse Returns For the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort

posted on December 9th, 2011 by Jennifer Fickley-Baker, Social Media Manager

What says “holidays” better than laughter? At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, laughter will ring out thanks to a special family comedy show scheduled for a limited run at the ABC Sound Studio (theatre) in the heart of the park.

From December 25 through December 31, “The Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special” will present the best of improvisational comedy as performers – including alumni from the Comedy Warehouse on Pleasure Island – take suggestions from Guests and add their own brand of humor, right on the spot.

The performers hilariously reinvent holiday classics based on suggestions they solicit from the audience, including holiday songs, stories, poems and movie scenarios. Show times (subject to change) are 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. daily.

”The Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special” is included in park admission.

THANK YOU! Hopefully this is the start of a snowball effect and just the beginning of something worth celebrating! :)

Comedy Warehouse was one of the GOOD survivors of Pleasure Island. :)
Even if the Adventurer’s Club can never come back, CW deserves to come back in some new form, in whatever shape the middle third of Downtown Disney eventually takes.

This is so amazing! I have so many great memories of the Comedy Warehouse show, as well as the Adventurer’s Club show from Pleasure Island. I really hope that this draws a large crowd. It’s times like this I wish I lived locally because I would be there for sure to support the return of the this very much missed form of Disney entertainment!! I can only continue to hope that at some point, I WILL be able to see them AND the Adventurer’s Club cast again in the future!!

I remember going to several of these shows back at Pleasure Island and loved every one. The performers there were incredibly talented.
Many of them would work at both the Comedy Warehouse and the Adventurers Club

This is amazing news. I wish that I lived closer… I would be there!

The interactive entertainment provided by the Comedy Warehouse and the Adventurer’s Club was second-to-none. So sad to see them closed, I hope that they come back in some form or another.

I am SOOO excited! Comedy Warehouse was one of our favorite attractions at PI and we really missed it after it closed.

I will be there that week and I will DEFINITELY be making time to see this show as much as I can!

That’s awesome news!! If I lived closer I’d come see it….and if it were Adventurers Club shows, I’d make the drive anyway, Christmas crowds and all!

Comedy Warehouse was a lot of fun. Great to see it revived, even for a short run. Now you need to bring back the Adventurers Club!!

Hurray! I’m so pleased to see remnants of Pleasure Island living on. I felt a little like shades of Mannequins are now at ElecTRONica at Disneyland, and themes from Adventurer’s Club are now at Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel. I’d love to see a full Blog Tribute to the History of Pleasure Island sometime when you need some filler. We took tons of pictures of the fictional history signs before it closed – some of them are still there.

Being back the adventurers Club!!!! Somewhere!!!! Pleaseeeee!! True imagineering!;) awesome news maybe they see that they are missing huge revenue from the demise of CW and AC..!!! Happy new Year

I’m thrilled that the CW is finding a new home, even for a short time, and I certainly hope that the Adventurer’s Club will also be back. Evenings at Disney haven’t been nearly as magical since it was closed.

Oh I so wish that I could be there for that! One of my greatest memories of my last trip to WDW with my parents and brother in 1989 was going to the Comedy Warehouse! We had such fun that night!

Wonderful news! Love the Comedy Warehouse! So glad Disney was smart enough to bring it back to play to packed houses!

The Adventurer’s Club rebirth in some form would be a fantastic next step, as its support is both wide and deep! Kungaloosh1
