First Look: OneRepublic Makes Memories in New Music Video at Walt Disney World Resort

posted on December 19th, 2011 by Thomas Smith, Social Media Director, Disney Parks

Now this is how you kick off a week. OneRepublic has re-created their hit music video “Good Life” and it’s a performance Disney Parks Blog readers won’t want to miss. The artists are making memories around some of your favorite Disney attractions at Walt Disney World Resort and they’re joined by several familiar faces, including Donald Duck on drums. Check it out.

Tune into ABC-TV on December 25 to watch OneRepublic and other artists perform in the 28th Annual “Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.” We posted a list of scheduled times to see the parade and you can follow along on Twitter during the parade with the hashtag #DisneyHolidays.

Every time I hear this song I think of Disney Parks. I think I’m going to buy the album so I can think of the Parks more often.
It was awesome seeing the characters in with the band performing during this video. I never knew Donald was so talented.

Great video and song…I realize they are showing off the technology of the images on those boards being held by people, but the constant moving of their hands was distracting! LOL!

LOVE it! So awesome to see the characters in the video too. Makes me want to go back to WDW today – sigh, but I have to wait till my trip in June.

What’s with the cut to the Casey Jr Circus train in a WDW ad/video? I’ve noticed that on TV and it bugs me. It also seems there is a cut to the columbia in there too.

Especially loved the characters holding the mini green screens along with the whole video, just awesome!

Every shot with the mini moving screens is from Disneyland (except the very last one with the band) — you can see Mickey’s house from Toontown, the Columbia, Casey Jr. and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Love the video!!!

I was there for my birthday trip when they were filming this! It was cool, but I was also bummed that I couldn’t get castle pictures that day.

Loved the video and song. Just wondering if there will be a Disney version of the song available for download? I downloaded the original version from iTunes and it’s not appropriate for family listening.

This song and commercial inspired me to make my own version featuring my friends and family.
