Disney Cruise Line Top Five: Exploring Skagway, Alaska

posted on January 6th, 2012 by Jonathan Frontado, Disney Cruise Line

Just last summer Disney Cruise Line set sail to explore the natural wonders of Alaska for the first time. We took you along “virtually” on the inaugural voyage, giving you a mom’s take on sailing to Alaska with Disney.

This year, we’re headed back to Alaska for a second season, giving even more guests the opportunity to experience its grandeur and natural beauty. Based on guest feedback from the first season, we put together a series of videos showing the top five things to do in the Alaskan ports of Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.

Check out this video from Skagway, and stay tuned for the other videos coming soon!

My family visited Skagway last year and absolutely loved our experience there! Highlights included watching the salmon swimming upstream and later, when the tide came in, watching the seal catch the salmon. Skagway also has several hiking trails, varying in difficulty, allowing for some amazing photographs!

Alaska was great on the Wonder. We visited at the end of August and would love to go back again.
