Save the Date! Annual Passholder Preview at the Disneyland Resort

posted on February 9th, 2012 by Michelle Harker, Manager, Merchandise Marketing & Communications, Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders: from March 27–29, take advantage of a special sneak peek of the amazing merchandise, food, entertainment, new costumes and guided tours the Disneyland Resort will bring to life this summer.

As part of this preview in Stage 17 at Disney California Adventure park, I’m excited to share that some of the merchandise being created for the park and the opening of Cars Land will be available to purchase, including items from collections such as the Disney California Adventure park logo program, Attraction Posters, Low & Slow Car Club, Champions Custom Speed Shop and Radiator Springs Racers, to name a few, before they hit store shelves at locations such as Ramone’s House of Body Art, Sarge’s Surplus Hut and more.

Check out these new merchandise logos!

There’s no need to sign up! The showcase will be open from 10-8 p.m. daily, March 27–29. Look for a glimpse at some of the merchandise in early March on www.ArtofDisneyParks.com.

Event subject to space, time and availability. Entrance to the showcase is not guaranteed. Please note, this is an Annual Passholder only event. A valid Disneyland Resort Annual Passholder ID must be presented by each guest entering the venue and must be presented at time of purchase. Limits and restrictions apply. Merchandise available while supplies last. Information subject to change or cancellation without notice, including but not limited to event dates, artwork, edition sizes and retails. Separate theme park admission may be required.

That’s when I’ll be there on vacation!! Sadly though, I am a WDW passholder, not DLR :(

Michelle Harker on February 10th, 2012 at 11:11 am

Banks, perhaps during your stay that week you can swing by the venue and see what’s happening. Can’t make any promises, but it won’t hurt to try.

Why can’t the preview run through the whole week and include the weekend?

Michelle Harker on February 10th, 2012 at 11:12 am

Toni, the dates were chosen based on time and availability.

Luis on February 9th, 2012 at 9:43 pm

Will they have this type of event at WDW?

Michelle Harker on February 10th, 2012 at 11:13 am

Luis, not at this time, as the event is centered around the new merchandise and other offerings that will be available this summer at the Disneyland Resort.

Michelle–
I have heard a rumor that Sarge’s Surplus Hut will be a RIDEMAKERZ location. Is there any truth to this?

Michelle Harker on February 10th, 2012 at 11:15 am

Hey Fred! Hope you’re doing well. In the coming week’s we will be revealing lots of fun details on what products the Cars Land stores will be carrying, including Sarge’s Surplus Hut. I can tell you it is a fabulous mix of merchandise, but unfortunately does not contain any RIDEMAKERZ product.

I’m still a newbie Passholder to Disneyland and CA Adventure so I don’t know where everything is yet. Where is Stage 17? I checked the map and don’t see it listed anywhere.

Thanks.

Michelle Harker on February 10th, 2012 at 11:16 am

Stage 17 is actually located in Hollywood Pictures Backlot, between the Muppets and Monsters, Inc. attractions. Hope to see you there!

Louis from CA on February 10th, 2012 at 3:42 pm

Notice they were talking about the new food too. Will they be selling some of it, or just letting us know what to expect?

Michelle Harker on February 10th, 2012 at 6:41 pm

Most likely they’ll just be letting you know what to expect. But be ready to experience something new, just in case.

NATALIE on February 10th, 2012 at 4:38 pm

is there any new details on the opening date for Cars Land? would love to start planning that!?
or even information regarding the annual pass holders preview of the ride?

14

Michelle Harker on February 10th, 2012 at 6:43 pm

Sorry Natalie, I don’t have any details on opening dates for Cars Land or the attractions, nor any special preview opportunities. But I hope you can stop by in March to check out some of the great new merchandise offers.

Hello Michelle,
We appreciate the heads up for the AP preview. Say, is that a new picture. Is that the CASTLE in the background? Will you be around during the “event”?

Michelle Harker on February 14th, 2012 at 5:07 pm

Hey there! It is a new picture, but it’s not the Castle, it’s actually the Matterhorn. I hope to be around at the merchandise preview event, so please be sure to stop by and say hello.

Count me in!
This is definitely exciting news!

17

Nicole on February 27th, 2012 at 5:03 pm

Yay we will be there that day…so this preview is only for annual passholders correct?

Michelle Harker on March 5th, 2012 at 2:29 pm

Nicole, the merchandise opportunity is supposed to be just for Annual Passholders. It’s definitely a great way to get a look at some of these new items coming out and even pick them up before they are released to Guests this summer.
