A Fun ‘Time’ at Flo’s V8 Café in Disney California Adventure Park

posted on March 23rd, 2012 by Valarie Sukovaty, Disneyland Public Relations

We love time-lapse cameras here at the Disneyland Resort. We have one in Cars Land that captured the installation of the neon sign at Flo’s V8 Café back in January. There are actually three large neon signs at Flo’s V8 Café.  This time lapse captured the installation of the freestanding sign, which stands 27 feet tall. Imagineers say all the neon signs are built using traditional fabrication techniques, which means glass is used instead of plastic, just like the original neon signs of the past.  The sign in this video took 14 hours to install.  Watch it transform from day to night and make sure to hang around until the end of the video. The payoff is worth it.

You’ll be able to see the sign, and all of the amazing neon, when Cars Land opens June 15 at Disney California Adventure park!
