Add Disney Topiaries to Your Desktop

posted on March 13th, 2012 by Jennifer Fickley-Baker, Social Media Manager

If you haven’t been to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival yet this year, you may not have seen the adorable festival artwork that welcomes guests to the park.

One image depicts a Mickey topiary with a butterfly landing on his nose, while another shows a frustrated Donald Duck who is humorously annoyed by a swarm of bees.

Yellow Shoes, Disney’s creative advertising department, was nice enough to turn this artwork into desktop and smartphone wallpapers for our Disney Parks Blog readers, so you can enjoy them year round! Be sure to check out the terms of use about using the wallpaper before you download it.

Which do you like better?

I do like the 3D rendered versions of the Mickey and Donald topiaries, but I think Donald’s eyes look odd since they look in two different directions. Wouldn’t both of his eyes be looking up at the bee on his forehead? Just curious.

Donald’s eyes are just right. He’s got one eye on the bee on his nose and one on the bee near that eye. I like the Donald wallpaper best since there’s more going on in it.

These are great, but what about those of us with 1920×1200 displays? I had to stretch mine a bit! :)

Odd choice, the 1024×1024 resolution. I’ve never seen a square display before. Instead, it would have been nice to get a 1280×1024 option, which is a pretty standard resolution, and in fact the resolution of my work PC, where i was hoping to use it. Really nice wallpapers, though.

I would grab the 1920×1080 version of Donald for my home computer, but I’ve been running Dreamscene for Windows 7 and using the fantastic HD scenery videos from WDWLive lately there, and I don’t want to sacrifice being able to sit at my desk and watch the Future World fountain run its cycle. It’s just too fantastic.

Wonderful! We were just in EPCOT last Thursday and I had to buy the shirt and reusable bag, and now I have Donald on the PC. Thanks for sharing these!

#Blaine- the 1024×1024 images are for the iPad- the image has to be a square so that the image won’t squash or stretch when the device is rotated.

Topiary Mickey has been one of my favorite things ever to come out of Flower and Garden! My laptop may soon have it proudly displayed. =)
