We’ve blogged in the past about the Menehune, the mysterious and industrious island “little people” who seem to work mostly by night, leaving half-finished evidence of their labor at various locations around Hawai`i, including at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. Visitors to Aulani may have caught sight of Menehune hiding in various corners of the resort.
Now rumor has it that this weekend the Menehune may be planning to take a hand in the Disney Parks Blog itself. Watch this space for possible Menehune mischief!

Goody, goody! Love the Menehune. Is there a “Find the hidden Menehunes” book yet? There’s like 80-ish or something around Aulani, right?

I love that Disney has incorporated menehunes into the resort. My mother lived in Hawaii during the 40′s and 50′s and always told us about the menehunes. It’s a great part of the Hawaiian culture.

During our January trip to Aulani, my 4-year old daughter fell in love with the Menehune… so much so, that each time she found one, we snapped a photo of her kneeling down next to it, posing just like it. This resulted in a fabulous photo collage of beautiful memories!

Being that tomorrow is April 1st, I bet we see evidence of them tomorrow?
