King Arthur Carrousel at Disneyland Resort

Preparations Wrap Up for Disney Fantasy Christening

posted on March 1st, 2012 by Jason Lasecki, Public Relations Director, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures By Disney, Disney Vacation Club

Later today, the Disney Fantasy becomes a cruise ship reality with a star-studded christening ceremony in New York City. But before that magic moment, thousands of crew members, chefs, dancers, deckhands and technicians are working to make everything perfect for the Fantasy’s debut. Oh, and let’s not forget Minnie Mouse, since it’s her statue that guests see when they first walk into the Fantasy’s art nouveau atrium. Here’s a video look at the last minute preparations.

Is the event going to be able to be viewed online like the christening event of the Disney Dream?

Will we be able to watch the christening online or on TV?

It’s after 8 pm here and still no sign of a christening broadcast/stream to be found anywhere. Is this going to be available before 11 pm or recorded for a broadcast of some sort later?

Dear Mr. Lasecki,

What a great shot of the New York City skyline in the background with the Aquaduck in the foreground, I just loved it! The Fantasy looks amazing and very well appointed, congratulations!

I am looking forward to viewing the Christening of the Fantasy, it will prove to be a very exciting event.

Ahoy!
Jackie
