New Disney Dining Email System to Serve Disneyland Resort Guests

posted on April 12th, 2012 by Erin Glover, Social Media Director, Disneyland Resort

“Dining

As you may know, Disneyland Resort guests may book dining reservations through the Disney Dine Line (714-781-DINE) but, beginning today, we’re offering a new way to request a dining reservation at the resort.

Here’s how it works:

  • Guests may now email their dining reservation requests to dine@disneyland.com
  • Requests will be reviewed the same day, when received during the hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., 7 days a week
  • Requests received after hours will be reviewed the next day
  • Guests may request Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Studio Disney 365 reservations through this email address as well
  • Email requests should include the following information:
    • Name of the restaurant or experience you’d like to book
    • Requested reservation date and meal period (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
    • Total number of guests in your party
    • Your name and phone number
  • Remember: Your request is not confirmed until you’ve received a confirmation number

For a list of Disneyland Resort restaurants that accept reservations, click here.

We know that Disneyland Resort guests are very excited about the upcoming opening of Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure park on June 15. Dining reservations are not available at this time, but keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and @Disneyland on Twitter for updates on when the booking window for this brand-new restaurant will open.

When will you offer online reservations like Walt Disney World?

Brandi on April 12th, 2012 at 1:20 pm

How far in advance can you make the reservation? I know by phone it is 60 days, does that apply to email as well?

Erin Glover on April 12th, 2012 at 1:48 pm

Hi Brandi – The same policy applies to this service: reservations may be requested up to 60 days in advance.

How far in advance can we book a reservation for the Little Red Wagon?

Erin Glover on April 12th, 2012 at 1:49 pm

You got me, Chris! The link is fixed now, and should take you to the correct list of restaurants that accept reservations (just give the page a few seconds to refresh). :)

My family is planning a visit the first week in October, we’ve booked a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney’s Grand Californian. Can we send requests for dining reservations now, or should we wait until later in the summer? Thanks

Chris – Reservations may be requested up to 60 days in advance. Enjoy your visit!

I still would like at some point to be able to do this via a website or, better yet, a smartphone ap. Also does it include Fantasmic/World of Color seating?

This is a great thing- I am a Disney travel agent and love this new feature!

Does anyone know if there will every be a dining plan introduced like what is in FL. Used the dining plan for the first time and absolutely loved it.

But how do you know the hours of each particular restaurant? Are there plans to list this information on the website?

This is such a wonderful idea and will make it so much easier for those of us outside the USA to make a reservation………although I really didn’t mind ringing through at 4 in the morning, after all it is Disney!!!

Is the Napa Rose only available for meals? Can you get a reservation for just drinks and some food to go with that?

Erin Glover on April 13th, 2012 at 7:59 pm

Elizabeth – You may want to consider the Napa Rose Lounge, where you can enjoy a drink, appetizers or dessert without a reservation.

Wow! How fantastic for non-US Disney guests.

I have a question though, can you send more than one reservation on an email or would you need to send separate emails for each individual reservation?

Erin Glover on April 14th, 2012 at 10:57 am

Sure thing, Lucy – you can make multiple reservation requests in one email.

Can World of Color dining package be booked this way?

Can Fantasmic dessert package be booked this way?

17

Jason on April 15th, 2012 at 3:30 pm

Can requests be made this way, such as a water-side seat at Blue Bayou?

Steven on April 19th, 2012 at 7:51 am

Gave the system a try yesterday. I give it a ‘thumbs up’! My reservation was confirmed within 10 minutes (Sent request at 9:35. Confirmation received at 9:46). Lookin’ good so far!

Jason: I was wondering the same thing and just included my desire to be near the water with my request. Here’s the response:

“Your request for a table by the water has been submitted, but can not be guaranteed as all requests are based on availability, and it might accrue a longer waiting time.”

From what Erin says, you should be able to submit any dining inquiry and get help from the cast members stuck in a bunker answering emails. ;)

Can Fantasmic reserved seating be done this way? If so, how far ahead? I was told on the phone I had to wait until 30 days before, not 60.
