Earlier this year, my fellow Disney Parks Blog author Shawn Slater hinted that changes were coming to “The Magic, The Memories, and You!” nighttime show at Magic Kingdom Park. Today, we’re happy to announce that the summer version of this show will begin May 25.

Here’s a sneak peek at one new scene that will appear in the show, in which Cinderella Castle turns into a giant sandcastle.

Very cool! It’s so fun that they are changing the show seasonally. Any hints you can give us as to what we can expect for Summer to Remember? Any surprises?

We saw the current version during our Spring Break. Even our 13 and 17 year old sons were mesmerized! It was enchanting and I look forward to seeing it again when we take my mother – hopefully this fall.

Will this summer show be seen at Disneyland Park at “it’s a small world”? I know that Cinderella’s Castle and “it’s a small world” shows the same nighttime show during the “Let the Memories Begin” campaign. I’m crossing my fingers that it will be seen at Disneyland Park in the summer as long as there’s a summer theme to the resort for this year!

Yes, the summer segment will debut May 25 at Disneyland, also!

Very cool use of technology! Though I have to admit, that picture brought flashbacks of the “Birthday Cake” Castle.

Jennifer Fickley-Baker on April 26th, 2012 at 8:54 am

I think I prefer the sandcastle…you?

How exactly is this going to be done? Please don’t say “Disney magic, of course.” :)

Paul on April 26th, 2012 at 8:08 am

It does look pretty cool. Can’t wait to see it.
What’s wrong with the birthday cake flashback? That was my first and wifey’s first trip to the World – both at 33yo – and we loved it. The trip and the birthday cake. We are total Disney nuts now and have been AP holders for the past 6-years. So you see, the cake is special to us, don’t knock it.
