UPDATE: The debut and signing of “After the Prom with Mickey and Minnie” and “Gone Fishing with Mickey and Pluto” with Charles and Bruce Boyer will be May 12, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

As you may or may not know, I love events! So it should be no surprise that I’m going to make sure you have the 411 on all the merchandise events happening during the month of May on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland park.

“Robert

While you may feel like you’re going on a deep-sea adventure, there’s no need to hold your breath for this event. Our events team has just notified me that miniaturist Robert Olszewski will be appearing at the Disneyana Shop on May 5 to sign his new “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” sculpture. Check out artofdisneyparks.com for additional images and event details.

“Cinderella

Feeling artsy? Good! Because new ACME archives art will debut May 19 at the Disneyana Shop. Special Tip: ACME artist Mark Cote will be appearing May 19-20, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., daily.

“'Gone

Last but certainly not least (and this is hot off the presses!), Disney Legend Charles Boyer and his son, artist Bruce Boyer, will be joining the festivities at The Disney Gallery on May 19 12, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., for the debut and signing of “After the Prom with Mickey and Minnie” and “Gone Fishing with Mickey and Pluto.”

There’s a lot going on, and that’s just the beginning. So make plans now to check out some of these events, and if you have a little extra “time on your hands,” then swing by the Fortuosity Shop for the heroes and villains artisan watch for May, featuring the Evil Queen!

Excited to see what’s next? Me too… keep watching!

  • Love the Nautilus piece, will there be any chance to buy this online or through parks merchandise ? I know in the past some pieces have been online through art of disney parks website but they do not usually allow international orders and I live in England. Would rather buy from Disney than a popular auction site. Great to see Disney releasing pieces based on historical rides and films!

    • Hi Jonathan, here’s my recommendation. International Guests may order directly from Disney by sending an email to disneysmerchandiseservices@disney.go.com or by calling 1-877-560-6477. I would probably send the e-mail and put Olszewski 20,000 Leagues under the Sea in the subject line. I hope that helps.

  • Oooo, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea! I’ve been on the ride in Tokyo and the walkthrough in Paris, but never had the chance to sail aboard those submarines in WDW. I’ll have to see if there are any left when I go in mid-May…

Speaking of which, is there any news on when the “All Aboard” exhibit comes to a close. I’m a huge fan of Disney’s railway legacy and I’ve been dying to see it. Please tell me it will still be up from May 11-17!

    • Hey Cory! You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the “All Aboard” exhibit. The exhibit is currently scheduled to depart at the end of June. But here’s a little inside scoop, in the next few weeks, I’m pretty sure I’ll have some details on the next exhibit, so keep watching.
