Check Out New Souvenir Cocktail Glasses at Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel

posted on May 21st, 2012 by Pam Brandon, Disney Parks Food Writer

Aloha! We have some exciting news from our friends at Trader Sam’s – Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Resort.

According to legend, Trader Sam, the friendly headhunter from the Jungle Cruise, has collected thousands of artifacts over the years and he now has a couple for you to add to your collection. Friday, May 25 – just in time for the one-year anniversary of Trader Sam’s – Enchanted Tiki Bar – Disney Parks and Tiki fans alike will go bananas for two new souvenir drinkwares.

New Tiki mugs are Trader Sam’s Barrel Mug, with Shipwreck on the Rocks made with bourbon, freshly muddled lemon and mint with organic agave nectar. “Have too many of these and you’ll be setting a course for Davy Jones’ locker!”

Also new is the “bowl” for the Uh Oa! This popular drink is made with light and dark rums, orange, passion fruit, guava, and grapefruit juices, falernum, cinnamon and freshly squeezed lime juice. This one is “recommended for two or more guests,” so be responsible and share with your friendly natives.

Both the Trader Sam’s Barrel Mug and Uh Oa bowl will be available at Trader Sam’s – Enchanted Tiki Bar while supplies last. So gather your personal belongings and make your way over to the Disneyland Hotel. Just remember, watch your head!

Are these complementary with the drinks and are they ONLY available on May 25th?

Pam Brandon on May 22nd, 2012 at 12:13 pm

Mug and bowl come filled with drinks and are yours to keep.

Pam Brandon on May 22nd, 2012 at 12:17 pm

… and both are available May 25 and thereafter!

Danny on May 21st, 2012 at 10:14 pm

Are these yours to keep with drink purchase or do they need to be purchased separately? I love the tiki glass that came with my Krakatoa Punch.

Pam Brandon on May 22nd, 2012 at 12:29 pm

Yours to keep with drink purchase.

Disney needs to sell more tiki items online! Not all of us live close enough to get there on a regular basis!

When visiting Disneyland, we always stop by Trader Sam’s in the afternoon for rest and refreshment. It’s a wonderful little spot and we love ordering drinks that set off the “special effects”. We love the decor, too, and enjoy studying the many artifacts on the walls. Quite an eclectic collection! What a great place to “beheaded”, as they like to say out in the jungle!

Trader Sam’s Barrel Mug is awesome!

Ryan from MO on May 22nd, 2012 at 9:27 am

Is the famous and delicious Mele Kaliki-Mocha available at the Polynesian or anywhere else at Walt Disney World? We’ll be there in about a week!

Sam from NC on May 22nd, 2012 at 10:17 am

I don’t suppose you can buy these online, can you?

Pam Brandon on May 22nd, 2012 at 12:29 pm

Only available at Trader Sam’s …

Daniel on May 22nd, 2012 at 1:15 pm

Awesome! More to add to the collection and another excuse to get the Uh Oa!

Very excited to read this news! Are there plans at this time to have additional mugs in the future?

Great job sculpting both of these mugs!

Andrea from BC on May 22nd, 2012 at 10:38 pm

Ah! What cute glasses!!

Will these be available with a non-alcoholic option? Though I can legally drink, I’ve never been fond of alcohol. But I’m a big tiki fan and would love to add these to my collection. :-)

Pam Brandon on May 23rd, 2012 at 12:26 pm

I’m sure the mixologists can come up with a non-alocoholic option!

Trader Sam’s is one of my happiest places on Earth… and now it just got even happier! See you Friday!

I am going to WDW Florida and would love to be able to get some of these cups. Are they available in WDW?
