Over the weekend, U.S. Olympic Diving Team member Brittany Viola got a patriotic send-off to the 2012 Summer Olympics from family, friends, and hundreds of Planet Hollywood guests at Walt Disney World Resort.

Back in June, Viola qualified at the U.S. Olympic Trials with almost 60 more points than second place qualifier Katie Bell. Viola’s event is the women’s 10-meter platform.

Viola graduated from the University of Miami last year with a double major in Electronic Media and Sport Administration, but she grew up in the Orlando area and says she still visits Walt Disney World Resort when her busy schedule allows – Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom in particular. The women’s 10-meter platform competition is scheduled for August 8 and 9 at the London Aquatics Centre.
