Whenever I walk through Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park, the mysterious sign above the door to Winnie the Pooh’s tree at The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction always gets my attention. Do you remember whose name is etched right above the door (blurred in this pic – bottom left corner)? Do you know the story behind it?

See if you can remember and tell us in the comments section.
UPDATE: Did you answer “Mr. Sanders”?
The name is a reference to the book:
“Winnie-the-Pooh lived in a forest all by himself under the name of Sanders.
What does ‘under the name’ mean? asked Christopher Robin.
It means he had the name over the door in gold letters and lived under it.”

It’s “Mr. Sanders”! Please share the story behind it…ever since I was a kid and watched the Winnie the Pooh movies, I always wondered why that name was on his house:)

Mr. Sanderz (sorry, no backwards ‘n’ on my keyboard; nor a tilted ‘z’).

My maiden name is Sanders. My dad had always told me as a kid that he built Pooh’s house and that’s why his name was above the door. Great childhood memory. I can’t wait to go and see it myself in August!

Mr. Sanderz, because he had the name over the door in gold letters and lived under it
I’ve always loved Winnie the Pooh since I was a little girl. The area in front of the ride brings the Hundred Acre Wood to life

This has been something that bothered me for a while. In movies, it is Sanders, but in “My Friends Tigger and Pooh” it is Saunders (or is it the other way around?)…why are they different?

I remembered Mr. Sanders but I noticed that the RING ALSO sign is wrong. It should say RNIG ALSO
