Disney Parks After Dark: Surprises in the Night Sky at Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park

posted on August 23rd, 2012 by Paul Hiffmeyer, Chief Photographer for Public Relations, Disneyland Resort

I guess it’s not a big surprise that my favorite place after dark would be Cars Land in Disney California Adventure park. If you haven’t had a chance to watch the moment when the neon signs on Route 66 turn on, you’re going to want to. It’s very cool.

The neon signs also make for some very interesting photos, and who knows – you may even see a full moon in one of the tires on the roof of Luigi’s Casa Della Tires.

While you’re checking out the neon signs – or photographing them – if you time it right, you might see a little bit of the fireworks at Disneyland park behind the Flo’s V8 Café sign.

Check back for more photos from Cars Land in my next “Disney Parks After Dark” post.

I love the neon at Cars Land !! It is so beautiful. I finally had an opportunity to experience the lighting this past weekend, what a magical moment. The imagineers who designed this did a fabulous job. This is my new favorite place to be in the evening, if only for a few minutes !!

I really can not wait to go and visit cars land! I will wait to see the neon light turn on and just be amazed at how realistic everything looks!

Cars Land looks fantastic at night. When you are in Cars Land, you ARE in Radiator Springs.

Great photos Paul! I love the shot of the moon with Luigi’s Casa Della Tires.
