Our Cast of Characters Put the ‘Cars’ in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park

posted on October 3rd, 2012 by Shawn Slater, Communications Manager, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Creative Entertainment

Have you had a chance yet to get out to the new Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park? It’s really incredible how fully immersive the entire place is. From Route 66 to Ornament Valley, you really feel like you’re in Radiator Springs! Of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without getting to meet some of the town’s automotive residents. In this video, Sr. Show Director Glenn Kelman introduces us to Red, DJ, Mater and Lightning McQueen.

I’m already looking forward to my next chance to “motor west” and visit the gang in Cars Land!

I couldn’t agree more. I think Cars Land may be the very best themed of all the “lands”. I would also add the vibe and feel at night is very different than during the day so it really is worth taking a second look when the sun goes down. The neon glow is worth it.

Kathleen – Have you seen the show moment we do in the evening to turn on all that neon? It’s really fun!

The atmosphere entertainment in Cars Land is great.

Whenever Mater or McQueen are coming down the main road, everyone gets so excited, they crowd around the sidewalks, and they start taking pictures!

So great to see them driving around, completely at home in Radiator Springs!

We went a couple of months ago and met all 4 vehicles, with McQueen telling my 4 year old “ca-chow!” One of his all time favorite memories of our trip.

I love that, Melissa! Thank you for sharing that memory. My little boys are big “Cars” fans, too.
