This week, the new additions to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Walt Disney World Resort from the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” were unveiled here on the Disney Parks Blog – and many of you guessed correctly.

You Can Now See a Mermaid Skeleton in Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World Resort

The lovely (but also dangerous) Mermaids of Whitecap Bay made their debut at the attraction. You can spot them early on in the attraction’s grotto scene, where you can spy a mermaid skeleton and possibly even catch them swimming alongside your boat. Jennifer has more details in her original post.

And we continued our behind-the-scenes look at Be Our Guest Restaurant in New Fantasyland with some new photos of the suits of armor you’ll pass on your way into the lunchtime quick-service ordering area of the restaurant. There are several more images for you to check out this weekend.

  • I have not had any luck in making a dinner reservation for Be Our Guest restaurant during the time I will be visiting so I plan to go for lunch. What parts of the restaurant are open for viewing during the lunch period? Thank you!
