New Spa Opens Today at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Time for Holiday Season

posted on December 17th, 2012 by Michelle Baumann, Walt Disney World Public Relations

All I want for Christmas is a “me” day at Senses, a Disney Spa at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which happens to open its doors today. A day of pampering and renewing is just the remedy from the pressures of the holiday season. I can see myself all wrapped up in a luxurious robe, kicking back on a heated lounger, or taking a dip in the whirlpool as I wait for my sugar exfoliation treatment. Ah, sounds lovely.
“Senses,

This full-service spa is an elegant oasis — and you feel it the moment you walk through the door. The level of service from the cast and the attention to detail in a sophisticated design are all Disney. With 15 treatment rooms, there is everything from rejuvenating citrus facials and herbal wraps to couple’s massages. Even young spa-goers can get the VIP treatment as their toes soak in a playful bright green pedi chair, just the right size. The organic and vegan product lines are an appreciated touch. I am so glad Disney reimagined this spa. It is a nice complement to the flagship resort and the nearby Wedding Pavilion. Hope Santa is reading this!

Hi Michelle,

I’m very excited to learn that Senses is open. I just checked the WDW website and there is no information on the new spa’s list of services or pricing. (In fact, it states that the spa is opening in early 2013). Can you please tell when the information on services will be available? I’d like to start planning now for my next trip. Thank you.

Pefect placement of the Spa and I think it would a great idea for a bridal party or just the bride and her Mom and future MIL to further bond and relax. I too would love to see the price list/ do you think any cast member discounts ?

What services or parts of the spa will be available complimentary to resort guests? Will this still also carry over as previous to guests of the Polynesian? Thanks!

Is Grand Floridian the ONLY spa available to guests staying on Disney property? I want spa services on Jan. 20 at the Boardwalk Inn. Are spa services still available there?
