This week’s Disney Parks After Dark photo, snapped by Disney Photographer Matt Stroshane, shows off a newly unveiled area in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park.

As of this week, Rapunzel’s tower from the movie “Tangled” now highlights the area that formerly served as stroller parking across from the Peter Pan’s Flight queue. While the building is actually a new rest area, its theming sure is detailed, with her tower and the lanterns she longed to see in the film represented. Looks like Rapunzel would have a great view of Wishes! Fireworks at night, too!

  • I have never been so excited to see the Magic Kingdom! This has never been my favorite park, even when my girls were younger; But now this seems like a completely new reason to make MK the focus of our visit this June!!!!

  • I thought this was a meet-n-greet! I swear I read that somewhere. Looks gorgeous nonetheless!

  • I am so ready for May 24th because we will be there to see Rapunzel’s tower in person.

  • It is beautiful! Although I have to admit I am a tad disappointed…I was hoping it might be a meet-n-greet area for Rapunzel like Ariel’s grotto. I know that she was in the castle garden area where Merida is now, and that Punzie can be found at Town Square…I was just hoping I guess.

  • A “rest area?! None of those at Disneyland.

  • I love the “Disney Parks after dark” pictures. Its one of my favorite times to photograph the parks as well. Great shots Matt!

  • Love the new Rest Area, just one question! How tall is that amazing new tower?

  • Beautiful shot Matt!! We cant wait to get down there and see this area!!
