If you have an eagle eye, next week’s “Limited Time Magic” surprise at Disney Parks is especially for you. We’re launching a special “egg” hunt at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts.

For one week only, from March 18-24, you’ll be able to search for special hidden “eggs” themed to Disney characters at Epcot and at Disney California Adventure park and then record your discoveries on specially themed Eggs-perience park maps.

At Epcot, maps can be purchased at the Heritage Manor in the American Adventure Pavilion, International Gateway, Pin Central and Port of Entry.

And at Disney California Adventure park, you can purchase the map at Elias & Co., Oswald’s, Radiator Springs Curios, Tower Hotel Gifts and Treasures in Paradise.

Each map and set of stickers will cost $4.95, plus tax at select locations. And whether you choose to hunt for eggs or not, return your map to a Port of Entry at Epcot or Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure park for a surprise.

Maps will be available while supplies last and no discounts apply. You should also know that separate admission is required to enter Disney Theme Parks and the experience is subject to restrictions and change without notice.

  • I’m wondering if this was extended through this weekend? I’d really like to go tomorrow and do it!

  • Thomas, do you know if the maps are still available at DCA? I’m hoping to play tomorrow!

  • Yay!! Thanks, Suzanne!

  • Wish this was going on at least through Easter.

  • My son and I did this Egg Hunt today and he had a blast!!
It was great to see my 4 year old so excited to find these special eggs! Thank you for this special event!

  • it was so much fun at DCA! thank you very much!!

  • Our family did this today…we thought it was a lot of fun! My kids (ages 9 1/2 and 6 1/2) loved looking for the eggs. All of the eggs are outside so you don’t need to wait in any attraction lines to find them. We just wished there were more to find! The prize at the end is a vinylmation keychain with two charms (about 1″ each). At the redemption station, they had the keychains under large plastic eggs and each child got to pick an egg to determine which keychain they got. One of my kids got Simba and the other got Goofy. And yes, you get to keep the map when you’re done.

  • how fun my kids would LOVE this!

  • So fun, can’t wait! Thomas: After we return the map for the surprise, do we get to keep the map?

  • Is it a Vinylmation that will available to purchase?

  • The kids and I love this sort of thing. Should be fun!

  • Bummer. We’re going to just miss it since we leave on Sunday. Sounds like great fun and I would love to do this with my daughter.

  • They do this at Tokyo Disneyland! It’s a lot of fun. Too bad they don’t have my favorite egg, R2-D2.

Will they also be selling the Mickey egg-shaped popcorn bucket?

  • This should be fun, and great timing. I have friends coming out from PA next week and am renewing my passes to visit Disney with them. I hope supplies hold out until we get there!

  • Oh, no! 🙁 I’ll be at WDW for Easter week. I wish this was delayed until then! Or at least extended. I hope this means there’s something even better in store for the weeks surrounding Easter.

  • Fun idea. I’ll be on lookout for these when I’m visiting Disney California Adventure next week.
