Mickey Mouse’s fascination with flying goes back to his first film, created this month in 1928. The silent classic, “Plane Crazy,” was later re-imagined and officially released as a sound cartoon in 1929 (following the debut of “Steamboat Willie”). In the film, Mickey channels famed 20th-century pilot Charles Lindbergh as he builds a plane and embarks on an adventurous flight with Minnie Mouse.

Great fashion statements usually have a story. That’s what I love about the retro Mickey Mouse on this aviation-themed tee. We’ve accessorized the look with classics that have a twist. The rich brown leather cross-body Dooney & Bourke bag features tooled leather flourishes of symbols from Disney Parks, like Mickey ear hats and bursts of fireworks. In keeping with the bag, the watch has a dark brown textured leather strap. Mickey’s hands help you tell time, directing you to the hour and minutes. We layered on some arm candy with a bracelet by Alex & Ani and top the look off with a gold Aurora lippy from the Beautifully Disney Collection.
