We had the pleasure of working with Mariah Carey on the vision for her vow renewal for almost a year, and like most brides, she wanted to feel like a princess on her big day. We couldn’t think of a better place to commemorate five years of wedded bliss – and Roc and Roe’s second birthday – than at Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland park. It doesn’t get much more royal than that!

The evening started with a birthday party at Fantasy Faire fit for a mini prince and princess where guests were served everything from ‘mocktails’ to cotton candy. And of course no birthday is complete without cupcakes and a happy birthday serenade.

After the celebration, guests moved over to Sleeping Beauty Castle where the forecourt was dripping in 10,000 crystals and over 15,000 blooms imported from Holland, South America and France. Mariah arrived in regal style accompanied by her daughter Monroe in the Crystal Coach where they were met by Nick and Roc clad in matching Prince Charming outfits.

The reception was filled with toasts, a few rides on attractions and Nick spinning as the DJ. It’s safe to say this after-hours private event was straight out of a fairy tale and filled with love.

From all of us here at Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons, congratulations Mariah, Nick, Roc and Roe!

  • Congratulations! Maria, I must say….you look amazing! You and Nick have a beautiful family. I had twins at 38 in ’08 and I’m still hard at work trying to get back in shape….you look pre-pregnancy to me, actually, even more beautiful. Nick, what ever it is your doing,….keep doing it. Thanks for sharing this private event with the rest of us DL lovers, you are so generous.

  • Disney Weddings does do a good job!!! My best friend got married at Disneyland on 8/9/10. I was her Matron of Honor. The wedding was fantastic. They did such a wonderful job. And I got married at WDW in December 2006 and my friend was my Maid of Honor of course. So we were able to share in each others Disney weddings in a very special way!!!

  • Congratulations to Mariah & Nick on their 5th anniversary — and to their children on their 2nd birthday. It sounds like it was a fun day in Disneyland for their family and friends. I’m certain Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons staff did a fantastic job with both events (just call it a hunch). Thank you, Korri, for sharing some of the details with us here and on the Ever After Blog.
