Disney Parks After Dark: Mysterious Island at Tokyo DisneySea

posted on June 13th, 2013 by Thomas Smith, Social Media Director, Disney Parks

Tonight, we continue our weekly “Disney Parks After Dark” series with a beautiful view of Mysterious Island at Tokyo DisneySea. When the sun sets, you can’t miss the vibrant colors – they cover the island and volcano.

Disney Parks After Dark: Mysterious Island at Tokyo DisneySea

There are two attractions to experience at Mysterious Island. In Journey to the Center of the Earth, you board vehicles designed by Captain Nemo himself and take a journey below ground. The second attraction is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea where you can join Captain Nemo’s crew to search for the lost continent of Atlantis.

Let us know if you’ve seen the colors of Mysterious Island in the comments below.

The most amazing Disney park in the world! Can’t wait until my next visit later this year!

I’ve been enjoying Mysterious Island ever since Tokyo DisneySEA opened almost 12 years ago.

Mysterious Island and Mount Prometheus are an amazing site to see at night! They make a spectacular backdrop to the Fantasmic! show that takes place every night on the waters of Mediterranian Harbor.

Journey to the Center of the Earth is an awesome dark/thrill ride that is enhanced even more at night! The ride takes place both deep below Mysterious Island and also outsied of Mt Prometheus.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful picture! To those that haven’t experienced Tokyo DisneySEA in person I highly recommend you go. It is like no other Disney park in the world.

Stunning! Got to visit Tokyo Disney once and could not believe the elaborate original attractions that the Imagineers had created. Journey to the Center of the Earth & 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea are two E-ticket rides that I think have set the bar at a whole new level. It’s my dream to be able to go back someday.

I am always in awe of DisneySea.
That park sets a standard I don’t think any other has matched yet.

I never miss a chance to come here whenever I’m in Japan. The food, the service, the sights! It really says a lot about this park that my nonDisney mom told me she really liked this place. Love the photo, could never get my camera to capture the beauty of mysterious island.

“Mysterious Island is behind Mount Prometheus , you can’t see it on this picture !”

Sure you can!

Mount Prometheus is ON Mysterious Island. Mysterious Island is the entire area of DisneySea that has Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attractions.

Fortress Explorations in the foreground is part of Mediterranean Harbor.

“Behind” Mount Prometheus is Mermaid Lagood and Lost River Delta.
