Lend Your Voice to ‘World of Color – Winter Dreams’ at Disney California Adventure Park

posted on September 24th, 2013 by Erin Glover, Social Media Director, Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort fans have already submitted their holiday cards to be included in “World of Color – Winter Dreams” at Disney California Adventure park, and now it’s time to lend your voices! We’re teaming up with GRAMMY®-winning composer Eric Whitacre to produce “Glow,” a new song written especially for the new holiday show, opening November 15. The piece will be performed by the “World of Color” Honor Choir, inspired by Eric Whitacre’s virtual choirs, with hundreds of voices joined by technology. All you need is a computer, webcam, Internet connection and your voice!

Here’s how it works: Sign up here, learn your part, record your audition video and submit it. Selected submissions by U.S. residents age 18 or older will be joined together to form the “World of Color” Honor Choir.

We invite new as well as experienced singers, who are U.S. residents age 18 or older, to participate in the creation of beautiful music to be performed as part of this new nighttime spectacular. And if you’re new to online choral performances, don’t worry. Visit this online forum, where a technical support team backed by a robust community of experienced online choral singers can assist you through the process.

Are you ready to learn your part? The deadline for submissions is Sunday, October 6, so don’t delay. Ready, set, GLOW!

I’m already rehearsing my part. :) Eric Whitacre’s virtual choirs are amazing to see and the song “Glow” is just beautiful. I hope I’m selected.

Oh my gosh Erin, this is so exciting and I can’t even apply because I live in Canada LOL.

I do have many good friends that would so love to be a part of this very special occasion. Eric Whitacre is so inspirational and has reached thousands of people, he’s incredible.

I simply cannot wait to share this with my U.S. friends, thank you so much for this post!

Respectfully yours,
Jackie

Why is an online choral limited to US residents? It´s “Joy to the *World*”, isn´t it…?

Hah, something I’d never get to be a part of, I have no singing voice well it would make animals run away. :)

I’m surprised this took so long to be posted on here, it’s been going since at least Sunday.

I am excited about this!! I have been practicing my part for the past few days. I am a little nervous and excited at the same time. I have sung in choirs before, but never did anything like this with making a video. I hope I am chosen. It would be cool sitting there watching Winter Dreams knowing I got to be a part of this!!
