A Mom’s Take: Wilderness and Wildlife Adventures in Alaska with Disney Cruise Line

posted on January 17th, 2014 by Jonathan Frontado, Disney Cruise Line

Alaska is surely one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. There is nothing quite like seeing the breathtaking, untouched terrain where the mountains and glaciers meet the sea. What makes it even more special are the vast opportunities to spot wildlife, everything from birds and seals, to bears and whales.

In the next video of our “Mom’s Take” video series, Nancy from the Disney Parks Moms Panel shows you some of the wilderness and wildlife you’ll experience on a Disney cruise to Alaska. Of course, no photos and videos will ever compare to seeing it in person, but I hope it will whet your appetite for joining us to experience it yourself this summer!

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and Disney Cruise Line Facebook page, and follow @DisneyCruise on Twitter for more about Disney Cruise Line’s voyages in Alaska. While you’re on Twitter, join in the conversation by using the hashtag #DCLAlaska.

Is there an optimum timeframe between June and September to go on an Alaskan cruise? Can you still have great animal sightings in September?

I did an Alaska cruise in early September and saw lots of salmon, whales and other sea critters. I didn’t do any excursions for land animals, though, so I can’t help you there. I hope you have a great time on your cruise. I sure did.

Thanks so much John! Keep your fingers crossed for me, I’m hoping to book the trip soon.
